My holy grail barge was re-advertised today. If the 107 sells this week I will be off to dorset for a look. I think its cheaper than last time it was up? Passenger side lower sacco looks badly painted.

It's in Andover, Hants.

We've just uploaded the report of our Mx5 race car at Cadwell Park. Why am I posting it here you ask? Well we've got a W210 Estate support vehicle which has just had I think the best barge modification ever....

Pics below hehe

It is now the Swiss army knife of Mercs. The racing looks good fun, what are the costs like over a year ?

£50 more expensive! http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=1&a...

I agree with the above - the paint doesn't look quite right.
It's also now done 1,000 miles less!
Googling the plate shows it at some sort of liquidation / repossession auction at some point in the past - can't see any dates though. Still doesn't put me off, 600s in that colour don't seem to come up very often. Wouldn't give 5 for it mind you.

I see it has the "Exclusiv" leather option, leather trim everywhere the lesser cars have plastic. The window tint doesn't do it for me but that'd be easily solved. I am not sure what these cars are fetching in the real world. A couple of years ago, even very good examples were struggling to make £3k in private sales.

It's a series 1 so all the issues of the wiring, MAF sensors and other gubbins which I cannot recall at the moment.

Mile are low but they can do double that without any issue so I would buy on mechanical condition and service history before anything else.

It is not clear whether it has the adaptive suspension (ADS) (the rear self-levelling mentioned in ad was on all the S600's) but, personally, I would steer clear of ADS cars.

Personally, I would look for a 1996-1998 in a good S500L variant or a decent (rare as hen's teeth) S600L of the same period

I thought all 600s had Exclusiv?

We just broke the sister car to this for parts!
Exactly the same colour combo and model year. It drove and ran well but was a bit tatty cosmetically. We had it advertised for ~6 months at £1995.

Doesn't look like it has the ADS switch. Although obscured by the steering wheel, the gap above the heated seat switch is too large.

Only in the US, I think. Ditto ADS.

Too much! hehe To be fair we share the car so everything is halved. And coming from Scotland our costs are no doubt considerably higher per round compared to someone based further south. I think it'll cost us around £15k for this year including the car. The W210 contributing to £600 of that!

Australia also had ADS as standard (and on the 500SL/SL500 certainly up to the mid 1990's)

I know it was an option certainly on post 1994 cars in the UK (mine did not have it)

The ad said: 'This is the(hydro-pneumatic) model - prior to air suspension which can be big money to repair.'

Seems therefore not to have ADS, non?

Apparently ex-James Hunt 560. Needs a little TLC. 4k, but negotiable.

I was listening to the radio earlier which proclaimed some bloke called Joey Essex just flew his hairdresser out to Ibiza because he wanted a mid holiday trim. Moral of the story... Some people have more money than they care about
This is true but then I wouldn't expect that sort of person to be owning an old AMG Merc.
Can't drive

It looks mostly shagged, but strangely compelling

It's unclear. The quote says "This is", so suggesting it has, whereas the photos (that we can see) don't show the ADS button/don't appear to anyway as an earlier poster pointed out.

2006 Skoda Superb 2.8 V6 Auto £2,695

Looks like a decent example, 1 owner from new, miles are sort of high at 125k, but that's only 15k per year.

Was this taken on a ferry?!

I dunno which I fancy more - that V70 or Derin's scrumptious E320.
Hoping this is allowed as I didn't post it initially but it is me selling the V70 . I have it at £2300 now and if you need amy more info just ask.
Apologies if this isn't allowed and mods feel free to delete my post .

I'm guessing the GPS is broken; my similar era 545i wouldn't show the location in the water when using ferries, even short crossings like Dartmouth. If that Superb is between Hoek and Harwich, surely it wouldn't have a signal anyway in the bowels of the ferry?

It's not your fault that every possible barge in the 1-5 range ends up on these pages!
