Must admit I'm fancying a set of 8-holes (as originally speicified) for mine.

You could go for the little-known and almost never specified (at least in the UK) option of colour-coded wheel trims. They are painted to match the Saccos with the chrome band and chrome star remaining.

This morning I can't stop looking at this. Have no need for it but think it looks wonderful. At £1250, just as well its at the other end of the country...

I picked up a car from the other end of the country, no excuses hehe
First drive I did in my barge was Edinburgh to London.

It's practically compulsory.
First drive I did in the 500SEC was Hounslow to, er, not far from Hounslow; but never mind that irrelevant detail, JFDI, etc

Funny you should mention that. I have some brand new in Bornite. Can't remember now if I have enough for a full set or not.

As an aside, are there any Ph type meets/events this sunday in the south East? Im over and keen to get the 550 out for a run!
Harry - not much progress on the possible meet with local PH-ers I'm afraid. I'm not sure if you've discovered anything better, but if you fancy popping in for a coffee and perhaps a drive around my way you're very welcome. Masses of space around my gaff, and then some decent local roads. PM me if you're likely to be up for it, otherwise enjoy the car and have a good stay over here.

A little bit of sleuthing online turned up this one. http://www.burnagemotors.co.uk/used-cars/citroen-c...

Same year, spec and mileage to my old one. Also, priced at over double what I traded it in for. If they publish pics I will know for sure. Way out of thread budget anyway, however ambitious the price.

Liking this idea. If you've a full set and would like to sell them, then let me know.

Afewbits would turn it inot a stunner.

Reckon the Cossie kit ought to be reserved for those cars with the matching mechanicals, but this looks nice.

Beautiful interior on the 190. Agree with your sentiments re the body kit.

Surely this has got to be bargain of the century?! Only £1,495?! Looks very original too, check out the radio in the interior photo! Note I've posted this in the retro thread too, as I feel it kind of fits both! I love the brown everywhere in the interior!

Right folks. I think I have a buyer for my F10.

Now need to look for a barge. Will go a little over thread budget.

Wants: lowish miles, half decent stereo (although most barges will have this), SWB model if A8/7er/S Class.

I really liked the S500 a few pages back (black with 63k now sold).

Don't really want anything as old as 124/126.

Had a W211 5.5 and liked it, although a little out of budget.

Grateful for any links posted..! I see the blue 750i is still on sale and there's always a 4.2 S Type or two on sale. Doesn't seem to be much in the way of Legends at the moment for sensible money though.

Good spot Woody. The shouty exterior makes that very not-me, but the brown leather inside is lovely.

0a was after a nice 190 2.6 as I recall. Just sayin'...

Though I'm guessing the handling isn't really up to being hustled around a B-road....

1-6 large. Inflation smile
Part 1 : 42k mile W140 500SE

Part 2 : Tidy looking 91k E320 coupe, alleged sportline (no badges?), climate, cruise, heated seats, new cyl head, A-M-Gees, full judge spec according to ad wink

Bargain Bin : 1295 280 estate Yes it looks terrible, but as a very well specc'd project (7 seats, heated power seats, climate, late model N reg - part wood wheel with chrome badge etc) it could be made good again. Already fitted with thread-ready gingicators.

I think the Cosworth kit works ok if its a genuine factory fitted one and isn't covered in tacky badges.

I like the engine, like the miles, and like the price. I'm just not keen on the bodykit on the car with the 2.6 engine. That interior is glorious.

smilesmile to be fair living in Scotland I've always had to travel for cars. Touch wood I've always been lucky, the e55 was great to drive back from London. I'd be more concerned about being stranded on the hard shoulder with that range rover, I know nothing about them however being the eternal optimist I'd like to think the 4.6v8 is a reliable unit. rolleyes
