Have had it for 14 years and this year gave it a 43rd birthday present by turning it back to its original colour smile

I love so many of these cars. Especially the Minis smile I find it rather endearing that many of the user names match the cars.

Why can't more threads be like this?

Old photo, but been mine for 15 years or so now. Runs low 13's, but is very streetable and I've driven in to shows in Belgium and Germany. Just bought a new gearbox so I can run slicks and actually put the power down biggrin

Owned since Jan 2000 and has had "a bit" of time spent on it. I daren't add up the time or the bills.

Depends on your age though surely?

If you're 18 today you were born in 1996 when you're average family would have been trolling around ina MKII Golf, MK3 Fiesta, MK1 Mondeos, Vauxhall Cavaliers, Audi 80's etc etc. These would seem old to an 18 year old today let alone cars from 10 - 15 years before.

Does it? I wouldn't consider a car "old" just because it was made before I was born. I certainly wouldn't consider anything made in the last 10 years old, and wouldn't have done when I was 15 either!

In that case I'd think it was old because it was made before 1940, not because it was made before I was born. smile

Then house purchase intervened and I was reduced to a tatty Bronco for my V8 fix!
Hahahaha....I had one of those when I lived in Canada in the early 90's; propane powered, locking hubs and the rear window never worked!

I was driving over a narrow bridge and I thought someone shot my drivers window out. In actual fact, in hindsight, I must of collided the wing mirror with an oncoming vehicle and it flew back on it's arms and smashed the window.....at the time I was very scared!

Fabulous car....

Here's my ongoing restoration with my Dad's toy in the background. It was parked in a garage for 13 years before I got my hands on it, I'm pretty sure that every job I tick off is replaced with another 2!!

I hesitate to choose a favourite as I'd love anything posted so far (although the modern sportsbikes are a bit OT) but this rocks. beer
