Following on from the how old is your daily thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

People keep mentioning old toys and I'm fascinated to see what people have, preferably with pics for added prawn.

(Yes, I'm jealous, as I don't have the time or funds for a toy.)

My "old" toy (old as in age rather than old as in sold on)

I've been lucky enough to always have had an old toy of some sort.

Bought this in June.

Been through Hillman Imps, Mini's, Alfa's, 3.0S Capri's, VW's, Yank Muscle cars etc.

Wish i'd kept this though.

Or maybe this.

I've got a 1974 MGB Roadster, but it's less a toy and more a useless pile of rust at the moment.

smile Not stem seals - missed braking point...

Few more pics:

I built it up around ten years ago, although work has meant that it's been sitting outside for a while now and is looking a little sorry for itself. Not for the first time I'm hoping to do something about that next year...

It's a single-carb Essex with a few mods to give 170bhp at the wheels, BGH-modded four-speed box, LSD etc but it still weighs quite a lot, so I have a plan to chuck some more of it away.
