A late family member asked his wife to send his car to the UK which is going to my uncle.

Its a standard Nismo R32 Skyline!
Leaving Hong Kong and coming to UK

What needs doing when it comes over?
Paper work, making sure it's fully fit for UK roads ie underseal etc.?

Any good Skyline Indy's in or near Somerset?

I want to make sure it's looked after and treasured properly, from a sentimental point of view; as I'm sure it won't be used much.

Thanks in advance

To drive it you need;

MOT &
Rear-fog light
To register it with the DVLA, once you have your plate you can insure and tax it.

Nice to have's:

Undersealing - to prevent rust, the Japanese don't use salt on their roads because they are not cheap. Would really recommend doing this, my import is having all the above and below done. smile
Radio expander - if you want to use the radio
Speedo/Odo replacement to MPH/Miles

ETA: pics!!! I love R32's biggrin

IVA/SVA is irrelevant as the car is over 10 years old.

Pretty much correct, except you'll want it insured as soon as it touches land, which any good insurance company will do on the chassis number until it's registered.

I wouldn't bother converting the speedo. I haven't on mine as it messes with the speed sensors for the steering.

As far as specialists I'd get in touch with Bob at Zealous: https://www.facebook.com/Zealou5

They know these cars inside out and they're based in Trowbridge. I had them underseal mine and I'll be using them for anything I need doing in the future.
