Apologies for the crap thread title but I remember reading a post on this forum a while ago about a chap who adopted a dog from a rescue centre, and IIRC, basically asked to see the dog with no hope of being rehomed. He then took this dog (was it a one eyed dog?) home and later posted photos of his chewed up iPad, phone, shoes etc. I can't remember what happened after that and I can't find the thread. Just wondered what became of that dog? Was the OP called KFC? I might be completely wrong, but I'd be interested to find out how it all panned out.

Thanks.

He's living on a farm now. He just wasn't cut out for regular home life at all, unfortunately.

I've had loads of dogs in between him and right now, but this is my current one :

To be honest I learned quite a lot from the one eyed dog as far as working with rescue stuff goes. I had deliberately asked for one of the worst dogs they had. I was making some progress but it was slow going. And when he was doing stuff that was putting my other dogs in physical danger it was an awful position to be in.

I think now I'm far more realistic. There are 100's of dogs needing rescuing and not enough people either willing to foster them or take them as 'forever' pets to go anywhere near fixing the issue. So spending a massive amount of time/money/space on a dog which doesn't have a dire situation currently, is a waste of time.
