There is no particular reason for a new TVR to be made in Blackpool. The original expertise has moved on, its been ten years now.

The price will be the cost of the last TVRs plus ten years of inflation as a minimum.

The most realistic way to restart the brand is to start making one of the T series cars again. Lots of customer developed upgrades are available including chassis, suspension and engine packages. Parts could be sold for existing cars and deals made with the existing support network such as TVR Power. Tooling either exists or could be reverse engineered from existing cars. When the customer base and workforce are established then a rebody and ultimately a new car could be considered.

A brand new car is far more difficult. A brand new design, development from nothing, a new workforce and new tooling will all be very expensive to get right and contain many pitfalls for the inexperienced.

There is also the question of if it is even possible to effectively create a new car company these days. The last few decades have seen a steady withering away of small independents (TVR, Weissman, Bristol) and a steady consolidation of the major manufacturers. It may be that only major established companies can even consider designing a new car given the cost and complexity of doing so. Unless that is they can convince their customers that the occasional glitch is part of the fun, in a market used to multi year warranties and credit card thin shut lines.

where are all the original parts, bodywork, frames etc. gone when the tvr-factory was closed ?

"new" tvr are for me starting again with t350, sagaris, sagaris convertible or tamora, so the last production, all other will become to expensive and "soulless" cars, as so many from other companys.

Fareham, maybe. That's where TVR are registered!

Can't see that happening. Its way too pricey down in the south.

They will still be homemade.

TVR will be the precursor for 3D printable cars.
The start of a new TVR era and definitely no sheds needed anymore.

Important advice to customers:
Please make sure your livingroom is big enough for the size of your selected TVR.

I think its gotta be a new car in every regard

stick with the basic formula ( big engine, lightweight body, fantastic looks inside and out)

but you will have to show a new shape, meet 2015,16 17,,,, crash regs and emissions and probably have ABS, airbags, stability control and all that jazz

Surely the only real way for a Company like TVR to succeed is to take an existing car & rebody it, tweek the engine management, exhaust sound, handling interior etc?

In this day & age, designing a sports car from scratch at that level is nigh on impossible isn't it?
