I currently go to the gym near to my work, I cycle about 5-6 miles in, then mooch into the gym, do a half hour of proper cardio, then the weights routine (gonna get buff! wink)... then shower, walk into work.

Since my start times at work are changing I mightn't be able to do this, so I've found a 24hour gym. Assuming it isn't crap, it would mean cycling there, then doing cardio and weights, then cycling about 2 miles to work. Apart from having to get up earlier, is this a bad idea? I would be taking the last bit of cycling fairly easy, I just don't want to a- kill myself or b- undo the weight training.

Probably a stupid question but I'm not a natural athlete so I tend to double check...

uhm, does this mean your on the gear???
Natural means not taking anything illegal.

with regards to your question, all depends what your end goal is,
get big or lose body fat, or both.

first thing first, is your diet in check, if so, then i'd say skip the cardio at the gym just do 5-10mins stretching, then weights heavy/low reps, then light/high reps. alternate weeks, monitor your body by taking pics, and checking your body weight, if your putting on weight (scales) but still look lean, then carry on, if your starting to get abit fat around certain areas, then introduce cardio, small bits at a time until you get a balance

What are your goals?
What are your current dietary habbits like?
How much effort/intensity do you put in to the cardio/weights? And what kind of weight training are you doing(as in, what are you actually doing)?
