Almost certain to purchase in the next few days.

Have any of you had any problems or regrets?

Can anyone persuade me against purchase?

Lovely watch, probably one of the best looking divers watch out there.

Only downside I found was with the bracelet , I always thought it was a touch uncomfortable. But I have seen people say it's the most comfortable watch they have ever had so it may be different depending on your wrist size.

No regrets, it's a fantastic item. The strap, well in fact the whole thing is subjective as far as comfort goes and i think it;s down to the really crisp finish on the edges of the links and case. They are not sharp as such, more that they are just really finely honed. A rolex has slightly rounded edges to all the surfaces, as do Omegas. These Pelagos are just really finely cut. As i said, not sharp, just crisp. Titanium engineering at its best. Go get one!

It's probably one of the only new watches I would consider buying. Great design and execution, modern and focussed.

I was supposed to be going to purchase a Pelagos on Tuesday last week but work commitments got in the way sadly. This thread isn't helping...
I tried one on launch day at my local AD and have been lusting after it ever since.

I use my as my daily beater. Even leave it on whilst in DIY mode with power tools etc :-)
Only downsides in my view....
Its rather bulky under a work shirt. So every morning I have to remember to put on my watch after my shirt.
The painted on 'pearl' is a but rubbish.
Sometimes needs winding despite only being off the wrist for a day.
It makes my original 60's snowflake sub look stupidly small now.
I now want a metal bracelet blue bezel black bay and am struggling to resist.

I've had mine for almost 2 months now and have a number of Nato straps for it as well as using the included rubber strap.

I have no regrets, actually maybe just one, I wish I'd known about it earlier as it could have saved me a few hundred £ as I went through the buying watches phase and selling on for small losses which added up over the years but that's part of the fun I feel so in a way that potential saving was invested in experiencing nice watches and appreciating them during ownership smile

Pelagos though, thing is a beast and while it stands out less than my previous watches (and pretty much all other dive watches on the market) it does so with style I feel. It doesn't shout at any particular feature and everything is designed with purpose. As some others have said in various boards it is as tool as tool divers can get.

I don't find the bracelet uncomfortable as I've found the sweet spot in the clasp preset range and when I need a bit more freedom it goes into the auto adjust zone. I like that the bracelet tapers down to 19mm from 22, I think this adds a bit to wrist comfort as I've had 22mm bracelet watches before ad they certainly felt 22mm even though their cases were the same 42mm wide.

It is my only watch now, I sold my other watches as once I put this on I knew I wouldn't want to wear any of the others on a daily basis. I don't know what I would replace this with in years to come, perhaps if Tudor update the Pelagos then maybe that but as some have hinted, can't see Tudor updating this for a long time yet as there is no need to replace it with little direct competition out there.

Been wearing my Pelagos for nearly six months. It is a fantastic modern take on the classic snowflake handed Tudor's of the past. The lume is unbelievable. The watch is beautifully engineered and I have no worries or issues with the bracelet adjustment. It is very understated and most people haven't heard of Tudor. I've only worn it on the bracelet so far but will try it on a NATO next summer. It looks set to become a modern classic and it offers a lot more value for money than its Submariner cousin.

Gents

Thanks for the feedback so far. I think I'll return to the AD tomorrow.

A couple of further questions:-

Robbiekhan - where did the NATO come from? Seems to compliment the watch very well. Great pictures as well. They really show off the engineering in the watch.

Does the watch come with a tool to change between the bracelet and rubber strap?

And finally, will the watch wear too large when worn with a formal work shirt? It will be my daily wearer. I have relatively small wrists at 7 inches.

My only regret; I have to move on a beautiful, and mint, Tudor Chronograph 79260p to afford the Pelagos.

Thanks again

I find my Pelagos too tight under a formal shirt and so it tends to sit below the cuff!
I tried a leather and a fabric strap black bay. I didnt like the gap between the top of the strap and the body of the watch. I therefore wont be using anything except for the metal strap.

Hi,

The Nato with the bigger buckle is from TimefactorsUK, it's their new range and comes in limited colours at present. The canvas is thicker than usual and nice to the touch but still soft and strong.

The all black Nato with thinner buckles is actually the better one of the two, it's by Maratac and the threading is much tighter making the canvas feel higher quality and more rigid while being thinner and more comfortable still. I got that from http://www.westcoastime.com/marnatimbanf.html - Which reminds me, I need to order a British Green one!

No tool is included but I use a small precision flathead screwdrivers to carefully remove the springbars.

I don't find it wears too large really, I've had another 42mm watch before, the Orient Mako Pro which I did feel was too large for my wrist but the Pelagos wears smaller thanks to the flatter nature of the design. It's big I guess yeah but you won't feel the size in most situations I guess. Ultimately it's all down to the kind of shirts you wear and the cuff configuration really though.

A brief update.

I returned to the AD and came away with a Tudor: but not the Pelagos.

I couldn't quite gel with it.

Then I had another look at the Black Bay in red...

And that's what I came away with.

Thanks anyway for all the feedback.
