Wanted to share this link I found regarding the LS cooling system. A lot of good information and diagrams.

I have (somewhere) a GM diagram of the LS cooling system and it's a little different from the one on that site .

The flow on the LS goes to the heads first then down through the block before being sent off for cooling ....ie reverse flow to more conventional systems .... From memory the reverse flow system used to be in the Ls series sales pitch as a cooling performance advantage .

The site mentioned here seems to show a more conventional block to head flow route on the LS diagram.

Minor point but has previously caused one or two plumbing cock ups in retrofit circs.

Good call the LS series does indeed have reverse flow compared to SBC et al.
Just goes to show you can't always rely on the "experts".
