Yes, I shall see you there in my blue Caterham Roadsport. First track day at Brands and in the Caterham so I may start off gently!

Fingers crossed the weather does what it says at the moment.

See you there.

Ben.

RKi - excellent hope to meet you unlike Silverstone, guessing you got your car fixed ok?

Ben - good stuff will say hi.

I'll be there in my old Datsun - grey '91 R32 GTR... Will be driving like a typical GTR driver - fast on the straights then nice and easy round the corners, will try and be out of anyone's way pronto though so if I'm holding anyone one up flash me!! (With your lights;) ) .

I'm keeping my fingers crossed I'll get through the whole day without seeing a certain coloured flag, hence my GTR driving style.

52 sec laps they most certainly won't be!

Cheers,
Sam

I was there on Sunday.

I managed to get away with a fair bit of sideways stuff (sensible ish), but it was wet.

Also, as mentioned on the forum, the noise readings have been high recently. If you are close normally, and its humid/wet you might get close.

I went from 88db to 94db (stock Mx5).

Enjoy.

Was just a blocked fuel filter :@

Had it running bang on, on the dyno a week ago after the blockage was cleared, so the car should be all good. My first time at Brands so i'll probably be weebling about :]

Hope i don't have to use my exhaust bung as the car hates it.

Great day and good to meet some new and old faces!!

I actually really enjoyed myself despite not being able to push too hard due to fear of flagging!

Was good to get some instruction but enjoyed it more being driven by the instructor in my car, you really don't feel the g's when driving..

Can't believe I didn't get flagged - first time ever at Brands... I'm getting old(er)!

Looking forward to seeing some vids - will put mine here once it's uploaded. Got most of you smile

Cheers,
Sam

You looked to be pushing hard enough from where I was sat Sam in my little blue Caterham!

Just glad it dried up as it was seriously slippery first thing!

Enjoyable first trip to Brands for me and first go on track in my own car.

I'll also look forward to some videos......

Ben.

Ben - lol yeah I was pushing - it may have looked hard but it wasn't fast!
Shame I didn't meet you.. Next timesmile

A long vid - the least boring part is 11 mins in when the 458 comes into picture smile

Thanks Sam - you got me twice in that, albeit briefly as you flew past. The straights look a lot shorter from your car - I'm assuming have a bit more power than standard!?

My first time at Brands, really enjoyed it in the end. My friend and i shat ourselves the first time we went through paddock, having only driven Silverstone, Combe and Bedford before, which are all as flat as a pancake. I thought that the standard of driving was very high, people were carrying a ton of speed through some of the corners.

Had a slight brown pants moment locking the brakes going into paddock at 110+, so spent most of the day after that braking way too early :P My dump conveniently broke 2 minutes from the end, just before i was going to make a pathetic attempt at follwing Sam and Bob in the black evo 9 :P

Nice to see the vidssmile
quite a relief not to see mine smoking! - when it hits the boost limiter I think it dumps a lot of fuel out, hoping this is what people saw. Also when the diff gets hot it breathes onto the exhaust... Need a diff cooler!

There's another on my channel that has a little flame from the 205smile

Ben - yup it's 472 @ 4 hubs or at least until the boost limiter came in. It's bloody fast at that power - too quick for me! Unfortunately didn't get to run full boost much, didn't make much difference though - huge funsmile

You gent! Merry Xmas!!

Gees I hope it's not going to melt the bumper...

It doesn't want to go out - no wonder it's so bloody thirsty!

Hey All

I was there in my little black Spire.

We were very lucky with the weather... quite a lot of traffic though.

The flaming skyline was popping flames in my face once lol.

Oops sorry about the flaming!

Spire's a very interesting car, great vfm and extremely fast! Doesn't it get boring driving something that's so fast and having no one to play with?

Was a lot of traffic but that's always the way on the Indy corcuit!

Hi

LOL, no worries about the flames - I'll repaint the front of it over the Christmas break wink

Boring? Hell No! The cornering speeds are mind warping and there is so little roll that the four wheel drifts are like a go-kart on steroids.

I also have a C63 AMG and have tracked that quite a bit, and honestly, that got, well not boring, but is the reason I built the Spire.

You really have to experience driving a Spire or Radical to see what I mean - it might look all stable but it is squirming and sliding everywhere, the feedback is unreal.

Have a look into this video at 22:30 we have a huge 4 wheel slide.
