Being the ill educated internet idiot that I am, what can you tell me about these domain name extensions? The name I want to use is not available on any other platform but is on .co.com.
Are they of any use and what would the pros and cons be? Can't seem to find much on the net about them (being the ill educated Internet idiot that I am!).
Thanks.

Basically someone registered the name co.com and are offering subdomains from it. So it's not a real domain name you owm and you don't have a great deal of protection if the top level name changes hands.

I really wouldn't bother.

Added to which - you know that the name you want is already in use by several other businesses.

It also looks like a typo IMHO.
