My current rate of usage will see me doing 12k miles in the Zoe this year against a 10k mileage allowance in the contract.
Looking at the contract though it seems that the excess mileage rate is 5p per mile, so it will cost me an extra £100 per year.

Anyone had any luck in upping their contract mileage allowance or should I just pay the extra at the end?
I think there is a mileage excess on both the car and the battery.

It's easy to change the battery lease, just call them, not so for the PCP, I believe it's fixed.

For this reason I have 10k on the PCP & 7.5k on the battery lease.

Ah good point - I just looked at the battery lease and it's £7.50 per 100 miles, so another £150 per year if I do +2000 miles.

Thanks - will give them a call tomorrow

You might find there is another p/pmile in the separate battery lease. IIRC mine is 8p for the car and 5p for the battery so 13p/per mile total.

Did the car actually run completely flat and stop then? With 12 miles showing and 16 miles to go I'd have pressed on I think - my understanding is that the range shown is on the conservative side
We were on the A1, it was quite busy. The charging point we drove to was only a couple of minutes off the A1. Whilst I was on the motorway the miles disappeared from 4 to --- and it started bonging. I was only doing 50. Turns out the park and ride at the Uni has type 2 and usually has a spare socket, but the Zoe was saying the socket wasn't compatible. The b roads would have been a lot longer than the motorway, and I didn't want to stand by the car on the A1 for an hour or so. I tried to reset the guessometer with the pedals, but it didn't make any difference.

I think on the OP's deal it is £7.50 per 100 miles on the battery, just a hunch mind you.

'Lo chaps!

Just letting you all know there is a new PCP deal on the ZOE if anyone is still looking,

Customer deposit £599
Renault contributions £5060
36m @ £89 (£99 fee on first payment) & 3.9% APR

Plus battery hire obviously.

There's a 24m option which is a bit cheaper too smile

Several weekends in a row now we've had trips of ever increasing distance without feeling the need for a top up, yesterdays saw us get home with 30miles indicated range after an 85mile trip.

Faith restored a little. Welwyn to St Ives in Cambridgeshire, 57 miles each way. Baldock Extra rapid charger working and free when I visited it twice. Still only really using the Zoe for local driving and into London.

Wife used the car all day yesterday, then we had to make surprise trip from Bristol to Chippenham to collect yet another Radley handbag, a 50 mile round trip with only 57miles showing on the trip computer, we thought we'd risk the Zoe, had 27 mile range left when we returned.

Today it's on charge using the sun.

Funny to think I had one of these back in November 2012 hehe Ok it was a prototype as I was involved in the launch of it to the dealers. Have to say I quite liked it at the time & the reception back then was very different to what we have now. Next best thing to driving a RR around town in terms of quiet'ness

One day, though my driving habits really does not suit electrons A Twizzy is more me thumbup would look cool next to my Insight.

Just did my longest ever Zoe trip. About 70 miles round and with the lights on on the way back. The little tease showed a 40 mile range to home which only dropped to 24 after about 25 miles of actual driving.

Just up to 250 miles in our new Zoe. Paying £153 pm on a 9k a year deal (no deposit).

First impressions are ok. In general it seems a little worse than the Leaf I had previously in most areas, with the exception of the range and charging speed.

It's developed a couple of annoying rattles, plus the tyre sensors don't seem to be working. It looks like a trip back to the dealer is in order.
