Why should the BiB have to deal with this?
Discussion
Lone police officer facing at least two black males. The person filming is not visible & their ethnicity is not known. One male repeatedly asks the officer 'Do you want to die?' Officer asks the man if they are threatening him. Second male then reaches inside his jacket. Officer appears to have a building behind him & is unable to retreat. Officer tries to hold this arm which is then withdrawn holding a white bag. The male who did all the talking then asks the officer if he wishes to dye his hair & the item is apparently hair dye - although all we see is the white bag. Clip ends at that point.
Hilarious. Not.

Thankfully/hopefully none of the people replying here are real cops. Whilst this is a stupid prank and it wasnt even funny at all, the cop dealt with it properly. If the prankster had his face caved in cause the cop genuinely thought it was a real threat then so be it.
But advocating arrests and custodial sentences over what is obviously a prank paints a picture of a sad/lonely life.

I wouldn't say it was obviously a prank. Not even close. But then you're the guy who want arrests and custodials over arguments you have with your tenants, so not entirely sure which direction you're coming from. I think you WANT to come across as a victim but aren't quite sure how to spin it.

Don't forget those who knock on his car window. He's all for advocating arrests then. But then you're the guy who want arrests and custodials over arguments you have with your tenants, so not entirely sure which direction you're coming from. Eclassy, you are the gift of humour that keeps on giving.

I don't see it as a prank, especially in light of recent events such as the Lee Rigby murder. But advocating arrests and custodial sentences over what is obviously a prank paints a picture of a sad/lonely life.
It is moronic. Utterly, utterly stupid.
I'd suggest a summons for Section 4 public order, we'll see how funny it is then.

Lets pick the video of black guys pulling a not so funny prank, instead of picking the hundreds where the white guy is pulling the prank which have millions of view as opposed to this one....
What exactly are you inferring?By mentioning their ethnicity, YOU my friend are more guilty of racism or ethnic bias than anyone elsewhere in the thread, and thus help perpetuate a culture of differences and negativity where none may exist.
In other words, you are a prat.

At the point where he is asking the officer do you want to die, I am sure the officer must have felt threatned, if when he put his hand in his pocket, the officer knocked him out or if he was an armed officer, shot him to death... The prankster would have only himself to blame. It is moronic. Utterly, utterly stupid.

Once he has shown the officer the hair dye, it becomes obvious it is a prank, a very daft and not funny prank. There are hundreds of pranks on Youtube including one by these guys where they ask to sell coke (think cocaine) to police officers but eventually produce a can of coke. Are people suggesting all those people should be arrested and imprisoned for drug dealing?
It is daft for anyone to suggest a person should be arrested and imprisoned for playing a stupid prank where no harm was done.
Thought the officer showed incredible restraint... Cos not so sure I would have been so calm about being asked if I wanted to die. That to me is a threat that deserves at least an elbow in the chops for the guy asking,a kick in the gonads for the chap standing close by, and the guy with the camera may well have needed a surgeon to remove said camera.
Just as well I don't wear the uniform I guess.

I'd imagine the police have to deal with this kind of crap all the time and that copper has it spot on IMHO. A credit to the force. I doubt he was on his own properly, there would have been others stationed close by.
What to do afterwards, a stern talking too would probably do the trick I'd have thought.

This year seems to have seen a resurgence of the 'prank' video. That one is pretty tame but there are loads of these ones with murders in carparks/lifts www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtX4jthnVdY - the one in the OP is really a bit of both. Not very funny.

No, we don't have to deal with cretinous behaviour like that 'all the time'. That was plain threatening and to say it was bad taste would be an understatement. He should have been arrested under the Public Order act 'harassment, alarm or distress'. I'd say it's well covered.I'd imagine the police have to deal with this all the time and that copper has it spot on IMHO. A credit to the force. If you think he wouldn't be on his own, think again. It's policy now to single crew. It makes the public think there are more Officers available. Being miles from backup is the norm now. I can't express my contempt enough for that imbecile.
OK fair enough, I'd assumed from those shows on TV that idiots trying to get a rise were quite common. And I assumed that as it seems to be at some kind of public event that they've just spread the police out a bit rather then having them bunched together.
Edit - on second watch not sure why I thought it was at an event - just the way the officer was standing in the doorway but on second look it appears to be drizzling.

It wouldn't be abnormal in some areas for the nearest backup unit to be 15 minutes or more away.Gassing Station | Speed, Plod & the Law | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
