Setting up WIFI repeater help
Discussion
Hi
It depends a lot on what model your repeater is.
Basically, you'll need to pick a suitable IP address for it. This depends on the other IPs on your network. Each item on the network will have its own unique IP. It will begin 192.168.1. and finish with a number between 2 and 254 (avoiding 7 as it's in use). As an example, you could use 192.168.1.20. Use the same subnet mask (255.255.255.0) and set the gateway (the route out onto the net) as your existing gateway (192.168.1.1)
Hope that's a bit of a pointer.
Most networks use DHCP where each item on it is given an IP address automatically from the router in which case they don't need setting up manually.
