They are predictingCon 281
Lab 281
LD 17
SNP 48
It looks like Con would win as they are current government, but would be unable to form new government. Lab would form vote-by-vote alliance with SNP and have a majority of 3. SNP will have Lab and the UK by the cahones.
If Con got one more seat than Lab, there is the possibility that the PM could come from a party that is not the majority party. I don't think that has ever happened. Is this allowed within our unwritten constitution? This, I guess, is one of the reasons why is is unwritten .
4th most voted for party = 17 seats
Mental.
5th most voted for party = 1 seat
6th most voted for party that wants to break up the nation = 48 seats.
Personally happy to see the Scots clear off and stew in their own misfortune. No doubt the EU would be happy to let them join and then heap money in their direction just to ps off the English.
Conservative support back up to 34% neck and neck with Labour.

If the latest changes in party support were to be replicated everywhere then Labour would end up with 296 seats and the Conservatives 268 seats acording to The Independent.

But completely incorrect
As Salmond has returned to the shadows
he will get into westminster and be pulling the strings
And destroy the UK
If I hear the words one morning on Radio 4 "Prime Minister Ed Miliband and Deputy Prime Minister Alec Salmond..." I'll switch off the radio and reach for something strong! As Salmond has returned to the shadows
he will get into westminster and be pulling the strings

Just thinking-if it's as close as it seems to be, if one or two constituencies elect an independent MP (rare but can happen) could a single or a couple of independent MP's end up deciding who gets into number 10 if it comes down to one or two MP's between the main two and no-one being able to form a stable coalition?
The thing that really saddens me about this election nonsense is that the candidates seem more interested in slagging each other off than thinking about what is good for the country. It's like winning the election has become a competition rather than a hugely responsible task.
This is my own opinion, but I'm struggling to vote for anyone because they all seem as bad as each other. I don't think there is a single candidate that stands out and enlightens me. It seems like it'll be a tactical vote to keep the worst of the worst out. What a sorry state of affairs.

Negative campaigning has bene around for a while but it really started to rack up in the last two elections. I can recall the backlash from negative campaigning in the last one, and people know it causes backlash (arguably well seen with UKiPs this time) but they still do it. Negative campaigning is huge in the US, and it comes hand in hand with personality politics and the cult of personality. This is my own opinion, but I'm struggling to vote for anyone because they all seem as bad as each other. You are not alone in having those worrying thoughts. All too bluddy obvious. Very far from alone in fact and I feel, and have felt for some years now, that a vote for anyone will be a certain waste for that reason. With that in mind, I'm still wasting my vote on UK Independence Party come what may.
All those many who have cultivated their mythical money trees should clone them for the benefit of all ....

Dr Richard Taylor is standing again in Wyre Forest. Lost last time by about 5%. Considering the scandals and problems being regularly experienced at the A&E units which serve the district, the local A&E having been closed by Labour and the current fiasco in Worcester and Redditch units under Coalition he might have had a chance of a turn round but will probably be denied by votes lost to UKIP.Guam said:

Hey don't knock it at least they can be arsed to canvassI cannot recall when I last had an activist appear on my doorstep
Mind you if they are all that useless then the various parties might have a point
If they were indeed canvassing for the labour party they should at the very least have been capable of discussing with the public why a person should vote for them.
If this was the best they could do it may actually have been better if they had not gone round canvassing at all.
Has anything been said in anyone's manifesto regarding cars and roads? A party that went some way to stop fking over the car owner may win a lot of votes yet I don't think I have seen any party comment on it.
Also, population. The greens and seemingly all the left want to heal the world, well what the fk happens when the world population continues to explode and to survive we need to consume more? No green supporter has ever came back to that argument, I'd love to hear that question answered by the fruit loops, but then I guess it would knock a few of the morons back into voting for labour.
