Desperate Dave's BREXIT get out clause.
He will only entertain a EU Referendum if he's returned with a majority.
All clever stuff.
YAAAAAAAWN !He will only entertain a EU Referendum if he's returned with a majority.
All clever stuff.
(and also bks)
Since when is this new or news?
If he doesn't have a majority he can't guarantee to deliver it.
That does not mean that he wouldn't try & deliver it without a majority but it recognises the possibility/probability that it may get killed off in coalition negotiations or not generate enough support via confidence & supply.
Use of the words "will only entertain" therefore somewhat misleading (in a Kipperish kinda way )

That tickles me a bit. I would have expected some poor intern walla to have been made to verify them before publishing and subsequent humiliation.Strocky said:
Possibly, possibly not.The "authored" entry can iirc represent whoever saved the document last, not necessarily the person who originated the document.
A person can have a role title such as Director of X, or Something Director, without necessarily holding shares, as it's not the same thing as Company Director.
Some of the companies may be sole traders or LLPs not Ltd Co.
Anyone signing in a company capacity without the consent of the business owner(s) is being naughty. This goes for existing signatories as well as Labour supporters.
Those making the criticisms don't appear to know much about business.

No, the majority of us don't; HTH. It would be a good idea if Milipede or CMD or Kang and Kodos get a grip and finish the job of federalisation once they're esconced in No.10 on the 8th. Otherwise this st is going to be damaging our economic prospects for the forseeable future.
The SNP is the party of an independant Scotland is it not. The polls suggest a huge majority will vote for them so how is that not a vote to leave the Union.I dont think for a minute that they will do anything but try to achieve this again if they form any sort of alliance with Labour.
The very mention of London or Westminster leaves them foaming at the mouth.
I don't get what has changed with the Scots they used to be acknowledged hard workers ,intelligent and "frugal" the opposite of Ed's mob Conservative with a small C.
For those who moan and groan when indendence is mentioned again, they better get used to it as it will rear its head again in the near future. It doesn't matter what the vote was in the previous referendum, it will be voted on again and again until independence is finally achieved. Deal with it!!!
Once this has happened, then the SNP will be no more, the Scottish Government will create its own political parties for the Scots to vote for like any other government i.e. right, left, centre, green, monster raving loony or whatever etc etc..
Don't think for a minute that because the SNP is affecting Westminster politics that they won't be after independence anymore. Everything they do is focussed upon that single goal..

Need to turn it around too fast and decided to "trust" the respondents. Always a bad move that. Trusting the general public. The majority of them a total idiots.Strocky said:
Lots of the companies don't exist, dozens signed the letter twice, several even signed the letter three times lol, multiple dissolved companies are on the list too.WTF, who at Con HQ signed off on it I wonder.

Does "companies that don't exist" translate as "not registered at Companies House" because they exist but as sole trader businesses...which don't register with CoHo but can still be a sizeable concern?WTF, who at Con HQ signed off on it I wonder.
Has anybody named the dissolved limited companies (so as to show it's not a random claim) and how can anyone check if they reformed in a non-ltd-co form?
Signing twice, if so that's risible and the sign-off waller needs a slap, but metaphorically not in a fracas situation of course.
If there are basic errors then fine, it's lamentably weak, but some of the claims seem to be shoorting from the hip simply to make noise of the right colour.

They have all been at it since a few parties that had a chance to open their gobs on a TV and promise pink unicorns despite no chance of getting overall power. Now the main parties are promising pink unicorns with purple spots, not to be out done. What can any party actually deliver if they get power? Not what they are promising.I am in Bristol West, where according to Ashcroft, 25% of people have not read the Green party manifesto. The area is student heavy, but if this is how it plays out its one helluva swing
