Apologies if the wrong forum.

I recently applied to have the personal registration removed from my car, and duly sent off the V5, the MOT certificate and the relevant form to the DVLA. I received my new V5 yesterday with the old registration number on it, but without the MOT certificate, so although the car has an MOT, I now no longer have a certificate to prove it as such. I have no intention of selling the car, so I guess it doesn't really matter, but should I have received a new MOT back?

Thanks.

V5C is system generated and whilst actioned by transfer team is posted from their centralised system. The new MOT will be posted out separately and will arrived shortly.

No need to panic!

Yep, the V5C and MOT get sent out separately. I put a request in for a new reg to be applied to my new (to me) car. Sent off last Monday. Got the new MOT yesterday along with a certificate to allow me to buy new plates and a letter advising me to tell my Insurers and start driving with the new plates on. Still yet to receive the V5C.
