Anyone tried the Conti Force Contact? I have never seen anything on here about these tyres. I have them fitted to an 7.1RS in 325/30/19 & 245/35/19 but not had a chance to test them yet. Anyone have any personal feedback/comparison test reports?

Here is a German test:

http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/einzeltests/art...

I have run them on my .2 GT3 which I have just sold. They seem to be an under rated tyre in the UK and US, but apparently quite common in Germany. I found when new they felt fantastic, but as my was a daily driver they soon lost their super power feeling through heat cycling presumably. I got 18,000kms out of a pair of fronts, and 9,000kms out of a pair of rears.

They never ever felt skatey in the wet and even when it was pouring down at motorway speeds I never experienced any aquaplaning. A good all round tyre and very well priced.

As previously mentioned, their grip level appears to dimish as they wear. I'm not talking about getting near to the end of their life but once they reach around 4mm.

Many thanks for the advice guys. I just couldn't find anywhere online selling them so assumed they must be either very popular as they are sold out or no longer supplied. Looks like I will give something else a try next time then due to them going off to quickly. How do Dunlop Sport Maxx Race fair in comparison?

My advice: don't mess about, just put Michelin Pilot Sport 2s on. It's what they fit to the 991 GT3 and they are amazing tyres.

I have them on my 996, great tyres as you say, I just thought the RS would need something a little stickier?

I've got the Dunlop Sport Maxx on my 993 GT2 & I'd say they are quite some way off the MPS2 for ultimate grip...

The Pirelli Trofeo R is a sticky tyre but they don't last long & are very expensive too.

Did you mean PS2s or PS Cup 2s?
I thought the 991 GT3 came with the latter. It's where I would go assuming the car is at least occasionally tracked.

Yes he means Cup2's
Fantastic grip levels, great in the wet, more tread depth than old Cups, very quiet and freakishly good wear rates.
And they are CHEAP!
Not sure how they have done it, but there seems no downside with these.

Yes, Cup2s - a very long day was to blame for that one!

Cheaper? Have they come down? The old stock ones from TyreLeader don't count smile
