Hi guys

Just picked up a 2010 59-plate 325i convertible with the 3-litre engine, in individual blue/cream leather for my sister. 50k on the clock, with FBMWSH, drives great and in good condition, and comes in Msport edition and with iDrive.

The lady I brought it from told me it had a few minor issues. Few questions:

1) The cover on the wiper (little square plastic piece) came off whilst getting it washed, so that needs replacing. Where can I get one cheap?

2) Her friend drunkenly broke the belt hand-over on the passenger side, so that needs replacing. Just got quoted £200, got to be wrong, right? I have the snapped hand-over, in case that can be fixed.

3) The 3 LED strips intermittently worked on the near side, so to prevent her from getting pulled over, she stuck tape on the sensors to stop both sides working all-together. She said that it's not the lamp that needs changing, since if you tapped the lamp it work work for a while, but it's most likely the housing. This is the biggest concern, and ideas if it is the housing, or was she covering the real issue? And how to go about resolving this?

4) I brought home the car this morning, and I noticed the radio stations were saved to Asian channels, anyway to reset them, as well as clearing the satnav searches?

5) There are a few minor scuffs, but 2 slightly more visible ones, both on the rear bumper. Get it sprayed or replace the bumper? What are the costs? I'll also be getting the alloys refurbished anyway.

For very rare replacement parts you wil find that OEM is the only choice where as high volume models with serviceable/frequently replaced parts may/will have pattern parts

Or of course local scrap yard would be. Ideal for the wiper and others bits =+ bobs.

Any pics of the car and the price

Have a look for a factory reset in the nav or idrive settings.

I have seen it before, but maybe it was in diagnostics.

Point 4.

Yes dead simple - idrive radio you can look at saved stations or search. Search for the one you want and save it job done.

Odd all saved to Asian channels+ scuffs + minor jobs not done

All other points Main dealer or an Independant will fix them for you no problem.
