I'd take a guess at your neighbours making a complaint. I'm sorry to say that I can't blame them either. I'll guess that the sound of the exhaust probably grates on them also. Sorry if I sound rude; the car looks fab but we would fall out if we were neighbours.

I'm not meaning to sound sarcastic here but why does it have to be covered? It's not going to rinse away when it rains.

Also, I'm not sure if this is asked in the thread (can't be arsed reading through all the lengthy posts) but why not make use of your garage?

I don't think you have the property to keep a car like that imho

Would you rather every person who has a car they cherish live in their own country estate?

yeh looks like an eyesore if im honest and if i was the next door neighbour i wouldn't be impressed. In fact you might find it was them that contacted the council about it...

Op appears to be one of "them".

Look at me, I don't care about anybody but me. Look at me, I do everything my way and you should bow before me. Look at me, I don't care about your opinion.

A sudden slap to the ego caused by crossing the line of taste, decency and respect of his fellow citizens has come as a shock it seems.

As a matter of interest, how do you reverse your truck out onto the road ? Do you have a double width drop-kerb or do you drive over the kerb ?

OP, I like it. Try and keep it up as long as possible. Ignore the naysayers and the council.

P.S. The Prowler is actually very cool. Bonkers car

Quite. I wonder what sort of house he believes car owners should have for each make and model smile

Did you consult your neighbours before you put it up? I know it may sound harsh (and could be completely untrue) but it kinds of sounds like you couldn't give two fks what they think?

Seems a shame to have to take it down after all that work frown
...But without enclosed sides, it would be pretty useless anyway cos the rain will just blow under.
Been up 2 months ! has worked

Only a days work and £200 so no big real loss
£200 eigh?...is that what you told the Mrs? wink
Those roofing sheets alone must have been ~£150?

I wouldn't mind betting that if the next door neighbour did this, the OP would be on here bleating about it. The thing is an eyesore, an the council are absolutely right here.

My comment is taken out of context.

What I mean is you have a car that you obviously treasure, to the point obsession as you keep it covered up or under cover so it wont get wet. Now, thats totally fine and completely up to you, BUT my comment is that looking at your property you have a driveway for two cars and the options you have involves you erecting that monstrosity to feed your obsession.

Ideally you would have a property with far more space to allow you to maybe build something less awful and avoid pissing of your neighbours. Your property is not really suited to allow the type of care you want to give that car if you were to consider the neighbouring property. smile
