I've did the Jamie "get ahead" gravy last year and found it a bit meh, especially considering the amount of ingredients.

Can anyone suggest any other recipes please.
I've read that using cranberry or red current jelly is a good idea.

I just did the same recipe this afternoon. It's still simmering away gentle now. The longer you leave it the better I think.

Turkey makes it's own gravy. While the turkey's resting a bit of water in the roasting dish stir in some corn-four and season if required. lick

+1 for above, even tho I think he means corn flour, and ordinary flour is just as good. Turkey gravey is best made simple.

I find turkey, and turkey gravy, to be quite bland. So for me, I like a gravy with some body.

To which end, I can heartily recommend the 'Devil Dip Gravy' recipe from the Pitt Cue cookbook. Despite the name it's not spicy, but is the most fantastic gravy recipe I've ever come across.

I did and served with bread sauce. Keep it simple. smile
