I bought a halfords pro socket set 10 years ago. I gets used every time I do anything to the car and has taken some abuse over the years!

It's still as good as new and tight as a drum. I rave about halfords pro tools to anyone who'll listen!

Second this, I bought the larger set when I first bought a TVR (2002)so its had lots of use and apart from a few losses its good as new.

Yup I've got a couple of ratchets, but I tend to buy bits and pieces as and when I need them rather than a whole spare tool kit.
I do like having things in cases though, I can easily spot if somethings missing.

There's some padding with the AF parts but the 1/4,3/8 and 1/2" ratchets are probably worth £60, pity the discount code I used for the ratchet spanners recently has expired.
