Given that I stepped into the Monaro scene because I love muscle cars, I've been wondering what I'd buy from the more recent offerings from the motor industry. A new Gen-F variant is an obvious choice, so avoiding them what would you chose?

For me, an orange Dodge SRT-8 Challenger looks perfect

Probably a Monaro or an old 8 series for me. It would have to be RHD (otherwise £35k for a new official UK Camaro is very tempting), and I'm still not sold on the Mustang.

Camaro ZL 1.

The missis saw one last week at goodwood and it was the only car she actually commented on saying it looked really nice. RHD though please.

I'd get hold of a TVR Sagaris and drop the engine from my Monaro in it.

Lol. Does the Vectra Countryman not fit the bill then?

Hellcat was the first thing to come to mind when I read the title. In reality, it would probably be a custom build.

I always thought I'd change the Ro for a VXR8. However, after seeing the numbers of gen-f's sold (and seeing more pics of them) I think I would skip the vxr8 and go for one of them.

Other than than that, the usual suspects of C/E63 AMG, RHD Mustang and XFR.

Like many, the ZL1 or C7 (the Z06 is just magic). Hoping to import a Camaro next year as a daily driver. Not sure on the model but I'm "told" my wife it has to be a ZL1. Whether I can really do it is just a guess at this point. The idea of 20% VAT and 10% duty makes me feel slightly ill. smile
