Nice, while you're in the engineering phase have you considered using a Scooby PAS rack? The stock TVR one is a bit pants.

Looks like fun. Lots of us interested in whether the wildcat heads really deliver over a BV setup.

What's the plan for modding the shell? I saw a thread earlier in the year where someone had widened a Griff body and it looked incredibly good.

That chassis seems to have a lot of extra bracing...... Where are you going to fit the dry sump tank??

I will be using the TVR PAS rack as I've been happily running this on my Griffith for last five years.
Can't wait to find out how the engine performs.
The extra bracing has improved the chassis stiffness and I have no idea where I'm going to put the Dry sump oil tank.
Hope I work it out wink

If it's the thread I'm thinking of I don't think it's still available.

I can't remember if it was on PH or elsewhere but the chap had done it really well. It looked very well done and like a modern interpretation of the Griff.

Conversely, I've seen one where someone cut the wheel arches and glued on flares. That looked terrible.

On a similar note, how difficult would it be to stretch a Chimaera body to be put on a T-car chassis ('m specifically saying Chimaera because of the scope for adapting Cerbera bits...)? I'd guess the overall widths are similar, but how about the 'backbone' main chassis dimensions?

Move the battery to the boot/behind seats, then put the tank in the footwell.

Hi griffdude
Given the engine oil can get very hot, what would you do to stop the heat transferring into the passenger cabin?

I just saw it on FB what a lovely built and what good looking welds are made, as well as the lovely downwards going headers, as the chassis welds...very good.

and I also read this on FB is it really that much stronger? thats a amazing result, do they make more? biggrin
wonder how it would compare to say the new Evolution chassis, although this one you have is a bit different and I guess also more rigid.

The CIRC modified chassis is around 15% heavier than the standard TVR tubework, but our tests show it to be 300% stiffer
I wonder how it all gonna look in time when the car is ready, wide body Griffith.

I believe Andy Race had his Dry sump oil tank mounted in the boot. I would like to keep the oil tank as close to the engine as I can get it.

I saw this on Facebook earlier today and the quality of the workmanship looks absolutely fantastic. I have never seen manifolds that go straight back, very impressive indeed. What suspension are you going with to take advantage of the chassis improvements?

I will be following this thread with interest, looks like a great project.

I love the fact you have stuck with the rover v8 and not gone for the obvious LS route. I also love the the fact you are running naturally aspirated with throttle bodies. What are the specs on the engine, I am assuming it is a 6.0 Wildcat lump.

Surely you'll just have to cut it in half lengthways Morris Minor style.

Great project by the way smile

Yup, very inventive old Eric, but like a lot of things old tech rehashed, loved my xb buell though.
Great project this.
