I had a nice compliment on Saturday evening, when at my step-daughter's 21st birthday BBQ, from my wife's ex, no less! (we get on fine, BTW)

Now, I never get any kind of encouragement from my wife and step kids, in fact, the kids take the micky (I get called 'chicken legs, turkey neck - the ribbing is endless..), and my wife never mentions my 'transformation' over the past year, she doesn't even like to feel any bits of muscle I have put on, saying they looks 'horrible'! I don't really mind so much, to be honest, as their piss taking does make me laugh, and I know it's done in good humour, and it was a personal decision to go down this route anyway, no-one forced me.

However, on Saturday, one of the first things my step kid's dad said to me was 'What's your secret?' I was taken aback somewhat, and asked what he meant, he said that I look great and he cant believe how much I've changed! Because no-one ever says anything about my diet/training in a positive light, I couldn't believe what I was hearing! hehe

Yesterday, I had a final cull of the wardrobe. There were shirts I used to like, but didn't fit me any longer as the buttons were too tight around the middle. I tried them on the first time in over a year yesterday, and now they are all way too large! It was then that the magnitude of the weight loss hit home. You don't really notice when you're going through it, as it's quite gradual, but trying on previously too tight clothing and realising that they're now way too large was a shock. In a good way...

As for training, if I can get to a 180kg deadlift by the end of this year, and press my bodyweight above my head (without jerking) I will be happy...

Thanks Halb! smile

I managed 67.5kg press last Friday (I am between 72-75kg, depending on the time of day), but I then tried 70kg and it may as well have been 100kg, couldn't push it up.
I have bought a whole new wardrobe using ASOS! hehe

I guess my only remaining vice is that I still smoke the odd cigar on the weekends, but no-one's perfect!

Any ideas on this?

My bloods came back, liver is improved woohoo
Test levels however are still very low confused
250ng/dl yet the doctor isn't concerned saying it's"normal". I've pushed for further tests and he's enquiring with a endocrinologist so hopefully something will come of this but if not what else can I do?

30kg of weight loss has not improved it frown

Have you considered doing weight lifting? Apparently, it boosts your testosterone levels.

Has everyone abandoned their goals? Where's Smiffy gone?

Training gear heads-up: got myself some INOV8 lifting shoes at half RRP from SportPursuit a couple of weeks back. Today they've got Adidas and Reebok lifting shoes on offer too.

Smiffy - with his low T count he's turned into a woman and joined mumsnet
Anonmotorsport - he changed his name so many times he can't remember his login
LordGrover - he was last seen with a couple of limbs sticking out of a massive pile of roasted vegetables that he prepared on a Sunday night
Pilchardcat - through drinking too much and training too hard, he turned into one massive six pack and can no longer type.
Halb - his love of running overcame him and he was last seen completing the Isle of Dogs loop of the London marathon for the 81st time as they'd taken down the barriers so he didn't know when to leave said loop.

Funny, I was only thinking about these yesterday. Just checked mine, not hit any, some are gone till next year, but the strength goals are still doable.
