BBC World Service last night reported they've found the missing heat. It didn't go into the Pacific, it was blown away and sucked into the Indian Ocean.

I reckon it went into the Manchester Ship Canal, but what do I know?

Next news item was Ivory Coast's first chocolate factory opened. Imagine the CO2 that's going to generate. I think we're done for.
It's actually in my shed. It always amazes me how warm my shed is even in the dead of winter. I've therefore created a model which takes the difference in temperature inside my shed to that of the outside temperature and extrapolates it across all the sheds in the world. The science is clear and we must act now.
Your shed is obviously to small to store enough heat to cause the pause but if you think of all the sheds in the world you maybe on to some thing. Be green build a shed.

You could apply for a generous grant to test that idea, it works for The Team. PHers will carry your thermometers and help count the moolah, you can always hide any decline then publish and be lauded.
Are there any good pubs along the canal? This has all the makings of A Good Plan.....smile

Not sure but somebody could always model it for you smile that would be bound to work in predicting the number of good pubs. How many would you like?

I would have thought you should be able to get some sort of eco grant for that.

This answer may be one Wise Man short of Three Magi but we can get a clue.

Gordon Brown said we had less than 50 days to save the planet in Oct 2009.
Prince Charles said we had 96 months to save the planet in Jul 2009.

As Brown got it wrong as usual the world is clearly due to melt on or around 30 June 2017. Hopefully the UK will have left the EU by then based on the referendum result, so we can melt independently.

And if the EZ experiences meltdown before then, somebody will still blame global warming.

The president's message to climate change skeptics was unequivocal: "Denying it or refusing to deal with it undermines our national security"

Those who deny global warming are putting at risk the United States and the military sworn to defend it, he told cadets at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Failure to act would be "dereliction of duty," their commander in chief said.

A "National Security" issue is a small step from "Deniers are terrorists". Scary path the USA is heading down at the moment, not just on this lunatic subject either.
