WTF has happened to our Summer, it has rained every single day for the past few weeks, with my weather app showing there is to be no let up for at least the next couple of weeks!

Even had the heating on a few times, and it's supposed to mid-Summer - I guess the MET will fudge the figures to announce that July has been the hottest since records began! fkwits.

All part of these gw droughts we were predicted to have.

Globally it is a warm year (but it will be hyped up warmer), the UK only missed out on the heatwave by 30 miles or so - it made it to N France, with the brief encounter at the start of July for the UK. Been a scorcher in most of N Africa and away from N Europe. It's just random. A tiny difference in the pressure patterns and we would have sweltered too. The Atlantic is colder than usual at the moment on account of the exceptionally cold winter towards N America and I think Greenland has been very cold, so as long as the weather comes from the W/NW we won't burn. Parts of Australia have had some pretty cold weather for them, Canberra has had an exceptional run of cold frosty nights. But globally, the average is still on the warm side (naturally). I wonder if we will have a long hot Autumn in the UK like a few years ago?

Hope so - have spent an absolute fortune on my TVR, getting it ready for the Summer months for some nice spirited open top motoring! hehe

Only the BBC could get climate change and global warming into an article on how aquariums can relax us rolleyes

Sad thing is that higher education is the same. I've just completed my Open Uni studies and it was tedious to be constantly reading about 'climate change' and 'evil carbon dioxide'.
My son is starting preschool in September and the main school is filled with posters or exhibitions on the threat of man made climate change rolleyes no wonder so many are ending up green-washed

The schools have become totally indoctrinated with green wash, Goebbels would be impressed with the stream of hogwash the children are being force fed.

It's all part of the "crush them young" philosophy required to keep future denizens under control through periods of especially notable social change.

Testimony as to how gobsmackingly foolish politicians are. The current situation is absurd.

If you use the ecomentalist redefinition of 'subsidy', to make out oil/coal/gas is heavily subsidised but renewables aren't.

That would make sense in some ways.

Redistribute the cost of energy production so more can afford "energy" consumption thus avoiding probable insurrection that the rich would not enjoy.

On the other hand subsidising the means of extending life would only add to the burden of humans that Gaia has to support - which makes little sense in a committed to green world.

So it all makes sense but only within the red haze of green madness - got it!

Well, its nice to know that Obama has now stuck his neck above the parapet, and the might of the USA is going to sort out the climate change problem once and for all. You know, just the same as the USA are the police force of the world, and regularly knock a few dictators heads together and establish ever lasting peace.

Both are subsidised - fossil fuels $550B / year vs. renewables $120B / year
