Including something from this link:

Linked article said:
An important new paper published in Advances in Space Research determines that the Earth surface temperature (as well as the surface temperatures of 5 other rocky planets with an atmosphere in our solar system) can be very accurately determined (R2 = 0.9999! & tiny standard error σ=0.0078) solely on the basis of two variables:

1) atmospheric pressure at the surface, and

2) solar irradiance at the top of the atmosphere,

and without any consideration of any greenhouse gas concentrations or 'radiative forcing' from greenhouse gases whatsoever.

Thus, the paper adds to the works of at least 40 others (partial list below) who have falsified the Arrhenius radiative theory of catastrophic global warming from increased levels of CO2, and also thereby demonstrated that the Maxwell/Clausius/Carnot/Boltzmann/Feynman atmospheric mass/gravity/pressure greenhouse theory is instead the correct explanation of the 33C greenhouse effect on Earth, and which is independent of "radiative forcing" from greenhouse gases.
It's dimensional analysis and so awaits more detailed physicals.

"Islamic call on rich countries to end fossil fuel use"
cavemen religion would really like industry to stop and we all end in caves...how surprising
Well yes, but the richest and most influential countries on the "fossil fuel" industry promote and fund which religion (or aspect of it)?

So are the calls for a worldwide change in management of the biodiversity platform formerly known as Gaia? Or are they really a political organisation attempting to subvert the present influence of the "pragmatic" middle eastern culture in order to ensure that humanity reverts to the Dark Ages, ruled not by any form of "civilised" social structure but by base survivalism and success for the strongest and crudest co-ordination of resources that can be cobbled together? (Even though that might take a century or more.)

hopefully not another american trend picked up by the uk. utter madness in the extreme .
http://www.theenergycollective.com/stephenlacey/22...

Last week, state regulators approved an emergency rate increase for Mississippi Power in order to keep the company afloat as it completes the increasingly-expensive Kemper plant. Mississippi Power customers will see a temporary rate increase of 18 percent -- a change that could become permanent, depending on the utility's financial health.

Supporters of Germany’s ambitious transition to renewable energy once claimed a green economy would cost consumers the equivalent of one cappuccino per month. New research shows they were overly optimistic.

Households consuming 3,500 kilowatt hours of electricity now pay an additional €270, or $307, a year as a result of the energy transition, according to the Cologne Institute for Economic Research. That amount has jumped from the nearly €200 they paid in additional costs just a few years ago.

The researchers have calculated Germany’s rapid switch to renewable energy sources like wind and solar is adding another €28 billion a year to the electricity bills of consumers and businesses.

It is a constant source of amazement that those who would regulate everything in the future are so incompetent at designing and implementing their plans that they refuse to see the potential problems when they start out.

This long known problem (nice to see Matt McGrath catching up with it) is an extension of the CFC "create to destroy" scam back when "scientists" decided the Ozone Hole had to be closed. (Whatever happened to that problem?)

No doubt there were multiple direct forerunners for that one as well, all of which should have acted as warnings for anyone proposing coercion by subsidy.

Obviously people in power have very short memories. If not that then they are willfully neglectful in their actions.

Wonder if the anti-capitalist greenies ever stop to think that their darling global warming forms the basis of a 1.5 Trillion dollar industry...

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2015/08/22/climate-cris...

I like the comment from David Smith on that link too:

To get a handle on what a billion really means:
If someone put a dollar in your pocket every second of the day, you’d reach a billion dollars in roughly 30 years time. By the time I’ve finished writing this comment I’d have 120 dollars in my pocket.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but a trillion would mean 1000 dollars in your pocket for every second for the next 30 years…

I'm sorry, but when there is that much money sloshing about you really have to question whether you're being told the truth or being told what they want you to hear so that the money train may continue. After all people are greedy and I bet those coining it in off the back of AGW aren't in the least bit concerned about anything environmental.

I wonder if they're deliberately pushing it into the "too big to fail" domain, so when people eventually see how busted the science is, it won't matter. Too big to fail. The can must therefore be kicked.

Well those who had an interest in killing the renewable market in the UK as it was costing us all an additional couple of quid a year will be happy to see:

https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/consul...

In summary a 87% reduction in the generation payments to try and reduce the number of installations of renewables by 80% before 2020

Slightly bitter as although I'm not a massive believer in mankind's ability to positive or negatively change the climate, I do like to see energy & resources being used efficiently. Still this sure will clear the cowboys and cobwebs out of the industry and the last ones standing will be able to install it for people in large houses who have large bills and don't need any subsidies to justify the costs.

I was meaning specifically the small scale renewables, not the waste of space wind turbines and other large scale 'green' projects sorry!
