Any tips on challenging this ticket, here is the sign in question doesnt get much worst maintenance wise.

Also my car is silver but was parked next to a white one and the ticket lists it as white.

Without a sign explaining the restriction the lines are worthless. I think that qualifies as "No Signage".

There are white marked bays but this sign should say pay and display its a small carpark.

there is a larger carpark near by that is marked and has p & d machines but this smaller carpark cant be enforce in my mind due to a terrible sign.

this shows the area

Has 7 or 8 bays and its the only sign.

is this car park nearby where you can see the cars parked in the background in that photo?
because it looks to me like it's all 1 car park, is there a separate entrance from the road to where you parked so that you could go into that bit without passing through the other bit?

one of the cars you can see is unloading not in a bay but the other side is the p &d carpark.

On that basis can they get away with having such poor signage in this small area?

My dad successfully got a ticket overturned as the bushes had grown in front of the sign.

I knew it was pay an display but had no chnage and thought since they cant be bothered with the sign why should I pay so I am interested to see what they say.

Also in 6 photos you can see my car is silver and the one next to it is white but mine is listed as white which looks like they got confused which car they were ticketing.

Checky buggers have taken a photo of a sign from the other end of the main carpark.

My tip would be not to mention that you knew it was a pay and display but you couldn't be arsed paying.

So you knew you were meant to pay and decided to rip them off, now you want other people to help you defend that position for free?

KFC- With that attitude, we'd live in a country where any petty official could stick up a sign outside their house( for example) saying that's illegal to park outside my place of residence. But fortunately we don't, though the owners of private land would like us to believe that this is so . IANAL, but from my understanding of the position , ALL car parks (private and council) require CLEAR /LEGIBLE signs ( and how many ) ,stating the T & C .I also believe that there's a road signs manual describing in detail how signs should appear.

Brilliant. Bloke rocks up with no change. Thinks he will get away with it because of dodge sign but obvious pay machines. Knew it was a pay and display but decides to crack on.

A conciois decision on your part to defraud.

Good luck fella. You'll need it.

Sheesh!

Dress it up how you like but the OP new he was meant to pay and didn't have any coins so decided not to bother. Now its bit him in the ass and he's crying for other people to work for free to dig him out of the mess he got himself in.

I would imagine with most people reading, all sympathy immediately left the building as soon as he openly admitted he's trying it on. Dirty scammer laugh
