Looks lovely the Sakhir orange. Have you got any close up of the wheels after the colour change?

Right. People keep asking about discount and what can be achieved. If you take a pre-reg car that is brand new

Here you go.

http://usedcars.bmw.co.uk/immediate-delivery/M/3.0...

A New, pre-registered car with 4 miles on the clock.
£52850
The same car configured new has an on the road price today of
£61830

I reckon that makes it about 15% discount and that is before you begin to negotiate.

Don't think anyone is disputing the discounts off cars in stock but they are always a compromise on spec. I'm not paying for options I wouldn't have ordered. You won't get that kind of money off a factory order today. The one big discount we have heard of on here started as a stock order but that fell through and they were lucky enough to be able to place a factory order with the same discount. I'm sure 15% will be doable at some point on factory orders but my experience was it was hard to achieve right now and others have found the same.

My M3 specced up @ £70K, I PX my M6 GC CP (one year old) and added £1380:00
Make of that what you will, but it's got a lot on it including FULL Black Leather Sakhir Orange Paint black 19" M Alloys ect.

So happy with that.
No One wanted the M6 for some reason. Unless I gave it to them.

Well it's the size that bothers the family especially round London, they are always on edge in case we are hit or curb it ect, it pisses me off TBH, these Grand Coupes are big.
The M3 is smaller and more manageable, power wise the M6 has it, but who can use it here in the UK?, not me for more than a quick blast.
Day to day the M3 should be the better choice for us.
Not to say the M3 is slow far from it.
No one wanted to do a deal on the M6 Gc CP, unless they raped me, so I just kept punting around till I got the best deal , hopfully this was not to bad. Best regards J

I guess it would have been difficult to sell a car like the M6 privately? M6 GC is a car I aspire to..... my neighbour and I drove M5 (which I'd imagine isn't vastly dissimilar to M6 GC) and he picked M3 as (his view) the M5 felt more like a tank and was older generation.

I've had the same M5 M6 M3 conundrum as others on here. 2.5 years in the F10 M5 and it was time for a change and I thought the M6GC was the way to go but couldn't get past the sheer size of the thing, even compared to the M5. No doubt it was a lovely place to sit but it just felt massive. I thought an M3 was going to be a step down and it kind of is but in a good way if that makes sense. It doesn't have the brutal pace of the M5 and the noise isn't up there with the V8 but it's still a very fast car, sounds great in its own way and feel way lighter and more pointy than the M5 which is astonishing but still feels like a big heavy car compared to the 3. Looks cooler than the M5 now IMHO too.

I have gone the same way , I had the LCI M5 then went M6 GC CP which was a faster better car IMO, but as you say HUGE, I am getting the LCI M3 in a week or two, and looking forward to it TBH.

...and I'm in the same boat. Trading my M6 Coupe for an M3 - need to be able to put people in the back and fit it in a Zone 1 underground parking space (which costs almost as much as the M3 would you believe...)! it's a step down in class and quality (and power when already at speed - from the mark very similar) but I have to say when I had the demo for a day I found it a lot more fun to drive and quite liked the noise, so hoping it is the right choice.

14% off factory order on the M3 (loaded with almost everything). Get it end of Sep.

Ordered a F10 at the end of June. Got 18.2% off the deal for a factory order. Not actually got the car yet though...

Hi there,

New to this thread so apologies if going over old ground.
Placed an order for an M4(despite going into dealership to look at 435D Grand Goupe).
As I am taking it on PCP and plan on handing it back after 3 years I didn't want to put on load of options as it would put up the repayments.
I have only really added the HK sound at the minute. Is there any other must haves?
Also I was a bit torn between the practicality of the M3 as I drop my 2 kids at school in the morning and still not sure if I have chosen right.
I know there is a facelift model for it coming out. When? And also does it have any more standard features included as I could still be swayed to M3 as I think the dealer would change my order without too much hassle.
Thanks

wnd

M3 LCI (facelift) is already out, models built since July have the changes.

M3/M4 base spec is almost identical.

Options are a personal thing. In terms of future desirability on this type of car I would add the HUD and full leather.
