Just seen the contents for tonight's show, and saw that it has a piece where they race across London. James on a bike, Jeremy in a hovercraft and the Stig on public transport. Sound familiar? I know the show has been criticised for recycling previous ideas, but this is a straight repeat, up there with the car football.

You misread slightly, but swap London for St Petersburg, James on a bike for Richard on a bike and James in a Renault Twizy and you're there.

"With Top Gear back on BBC2 this Sunday, car forum RevWheel has taken the unusual step of getting its discussion thread about the programme out of the way in advance."

Brilliant. Sums the whole thing up perfectly. But we'll still have the usual cretinous nonsense posted up after 9;00pm this evening!

Fixed that for you.

I for one am looking forward to it, light entertainment with some cars included. Prefect Sunday night viewing.

Can't be PH, not a single mention of SIARPC being st.

PS... having not yet watched tonight's episode, can I just say that it was great except for SIARPC being st.

I think the confusion may come from Sky, as on their Sky+ app the description says "May drives, Hammond Cycles and Clarkson pilots a hovercraft" yet has a photograph clearly showing James May on a bicycle next to Richard Hammond in a Renault Twizy.

Ha, you're right, and I even went back to the online TV guide I used to find a screenshot of them saying "London", and they have changed it now to "St Petersburg" in the several hours since I posted the above. Oh well!
