Looking for some advice on which machine to get.
Do you have a factory shop "mall" close by?

If so, do they have a Tefal Outlet?

I was in one last week and they have the Pixie + Aerocinno bundle and the Krups Citiz&Milk around £50 less than RRP (saving depends on colour!)

I don't, however I do have a nice kitchenware shop nearby...

Just picked up a Lattissima+ in bronze, thirty quid more than I could have got it from JL online, but that would have meant waiting!

Just running the milk container through the dishwasher, then have the 16 that come with the machine and 40 lidl pods to burn through.

Gonna wait before getting the 250 intro set from nespresso. Need to decide whether I want the 'discovery box' or 'totem' freebie. My mum has also bought one this week and went for the 150 intro set that comes with the cube, she wants the one that looks like a clear pod so I'm getting the cube.

Was really, really impressed with the lattes from her one. Couldn't believe how quick and easy it all is to get such good coffee. Amazing.

yes

My mum has gone through Dolce Gusta, and one other pod machine before getting the Lattissima after telling her I was interested.

The Dulce Gusta lattes were costing her eight quid for five, and they weren't great. Couldn't believe the price, and realised why she'd stopped offering them to me!

She served me a latte better than I get from Costa or Maccy D's (the only places I can get it on the way into work) the same afternoon she got it. She manages to burn baked beans, so that sold it for me!

Oh, as we're mostly blokes, and like different things to the standard girlie fayre, and recommendations for cool/nice latte glasses?

8 quid for 5 dolce gusta lattes! Is that right? Seems bonkers.

Got some of these fromLidl to try. They're not too bad for £1.79.
Having tried these, if you mixed these up with all the other Nespresso pods, you wouldn't tell which are these and which are Nespresso imo.
Me too have tried the 3 different pod my local lidl stocked and all are excellent. They flow well from the machine unlike some of the other 3rd party pods do which sound like they're causing excess back pressure. Reading one of the boxes it sounds like there are 5 varieties in the range. I suspect I'll be just buying these once my £75 of vouchers is used up.

My mistake, she was paying £5 for 8...

Still a lot more than the nespresso pods, and nowhere near as good.

That's still very expensive eh. I thought nespresso were the most expensive, you live and learn.

sniff, after 2.5 years my Krups U has given up (pods not being clamped properly so not being pierced)

I guess there's no easy repair so looking at buying an Inissia.

Loving mine so far, especially the lighter roasts, which is something I've never tried before.

The dulsao is amazing.

Anyone a particular fan of the really intense ones, darkan et al? If so, drop me a pm and I'll send you the ones that came with the 250 intro offer set I bought.

Love the darker ones, I bought a load recently; Intenso assortment, doubly nice as the wife won't touch them!

PM sent.

Aerocino is brillinatly simple to use and clean. Perfect frothed milk in 70 seconds and 20 seconds to clean afterwards.....
Rinse with water before use - reduces the chances of milk burning on the bottom.
Nice tip, thanks.
Also the new Aero has a ceramic based coating so the burn mark shouldn't happen like on the older version that has the two separate whisks.

My siemens TK911 top of the range one has died - do you know of any service shops? the girl on the phone gave me a discount on a new one but the Siemens one is sexy and I would like to fix it.

It's not one of the machines I give tech support on as I take calls from Australia and New Zealand only.

A quick search on Google though brings up this site for a free quote.

Funnily enough, my mum popped into the one in Knightsbridge yesterday. Apparently she's got me a sleeve of the new ltd edition, and the travel mug for in the car, in return for dog sitting her mutt whilst she's had a weekend away.

Haven't managed to get to the post office in working hours fella, will get the couple of sleeves of bd strong stuff I promised sent asap - work has been mental!

Phone Nespresso - they'll come and collect it, leave you a loan machine, and then bring it back when they're done. I think it costs around £80. I had the Siemens machine that pulled the capsule inside, and they fixed it just fine. Lasted another 2 years after the fix.

No rush.

The wife picked up a sleeve of decaf and a sleeve of Caramalto (sp?) for herself and I got a set of Pixie Lungo metal cups with stirrers; in orange to replace my bloody useless and expensive Bodum double walled glasses things that crack if you so much as give them a funny look.

Had a £25 voucher remaining so that lot cost me £1.50.
