Sold my Samsung S3 locked to Orange, on eBay and I have just got an email from the buyer who says he has tried 2 Orange SIMs in the phone yet they are not recognized.

It was working fine until Orange switched off my old SIM and powered up the new one in my S5.

Would Orange have done anything to stop the phone being used. I have never had a problem selling on an old phone before.

Any ideas, Cheers.

Bump. So what has developed since then?

Usual advice on here, is not to sell electronics eBay...plenty of dodgy buyers, scammers etc.

That's a relief. Probably not a scammer.

Usual MO would be to return a fake or identical broken unit that really doesn't accept any SIMs in the hope that you didn't bother noting down any identification for the unit you sold.
