I had to leave mid-way through the 6th session, my wrists were killing me (carpal tunnel syndrome!).
Really should have an operation but can't afford 6 weeks off work frown
Really enjoyed myself and pushed myself much further than I knew I was capable of.

Thanks all, Stuart!

I feel the word "Awesome" appropriately sums up the day from my own point of view.... Great to meet a few of the now regular faces again and to see John -B N out first time this year on his new bike and home track.
I was like a fish out of water here, damp, greasy, unknown circuit first thing, but dried out and cleaned up by third session and was sunny , dry and grippy all afternoon .
Slowly - worked out where it all went and got going a bit , getting battered amongst some very fast local boys, especially Aky, John's mate - Simon, blistering pace , with John going very well but struggling ( for him)with position on the new Blade, no clip-ons yet and no proper pegs/ rear sets for his 6'4" frame to fold into it .It looked awkward and hunched up for him... Early days - will sort it , and John kindly " towed me in last session for 3 laps to give me a good round off for the day and got going well finding I was no longer being done in too badly by the locals out there now .
Good to see Soofsayer -Andy , out in Fast as well, on his road HP4,and not embarrassing himself at all, and my old mate Alan Naylor, quick racer on a Kwak600 helping a bit, ,
No offs, no incidents this time for the whole group - all good fun - top day - cheers boys .

Oh ..... the MTB hotdog incident was pretty amazing too .... I'll leave it to him ....

You all got lucky with the weather - I was there with Tight5 and got sunburnt sitting yacking!

Not sure of names/faces - I know BN and met Loon a few times but not sure of the others.

John and Simon seemed a little down in the dumps - I'm sure a little rest and bike fettlling will sort them out.

Akky looked as quick and smooth as normal.

I deliberately wore textiles because I knew I'd be tempted to get a few sessions in - sure enough, I was itching to get out and the groups looked relatively empty compared to a few years ago - there was even enough gaps in traffic to have a conversation on the pit wall!

Who was riding what?

I noticed a 675 with a rather strange paint job - anyone here? wink

Drunk again, Graham? laugh

Agree with what you've said, great day and thankfully no major incidents, although Tim85s foot peg coming off could have been nasty if it happened at the wrong place.
Your mate Alan was saying his mate was taking a load of photos, any chance he'd be putting them online anywhere?

Good stuff.

That was the most comfortable I've felt on track so would have liked to see some pictures, was a shame the track photographer (was it Alex James?) couldn't be there, but if you can get hold of some that would be great.

I think I was getting a bit confused, your drunken whatsapp ramblings haven't made it onto here, I wouldn't dare post them!

Good day today, nice to catch up with everyone, didn't miss riding the bike that much, it was good to see an incident free day and everyone staying upright and in one piece smile

You missed my very close call. Last session on the start straight top of third just about to click down (up) to 4th and my footpeg fell off so the linkage all dropped and either hit my boot or floor but it hit the linkage up so basically went from red line 3rd straight into 2nd. A lot of noise/tyre squeeling/bum clenching I managed to not die and get around to the pits.

My mate was trying to adjust the rear sets a couple of weeks ago and he now feels really bad as it could of been properly nasty.

Thanks to everyone I pestered for help especially Alex, prolapse, Simon, Dave, Graham, bn...basically everyone. I had a brilliant day and the little disaster didn't take the shine off the day.

I also feel bad for the older chap I think. Who stacked it quite badly on the first corner after the sighting laps. The instructor literally peeled off and around the first corner was a guy on his back with the bike on top of him, didn't look fun.

It was good to meet you all and, Graham, thankyou for your hospitality. The level of riding skill shown during the day was impressive, one of the fastest groups I have had the pleasure of riding with. smile

He's a mate of Tight5 and a good lad.

Broken collar bone and concussion but should be relatively ok - high sided on a cold tyre apparently.

I have both of his extension leads ans will drop them off with Tight5 to pass onto him when he's fit again.

Ouch. Not how you want to end or start your day. I came round the corner as he was coming to a stop and he basically looked out of it just starring at the sky. Hope he heals quick.

I'm literally just in the door. I'm currently sat on the toilet with biblical runs. It's maybe that hot dog. Or the bbq

I shall tell a tale of a tested friendship verging on the brink of collapse.

A 70 mph detour, south down the fking A1 adding on and hour and a half to the run whilst my Co driver sipped a beer.

A Pink hotdog, grit filled

My final acceptance that I need to seriously fling money at my suspension after a fight with it all day.

A skodas battle with it's suspension

A van that nearly wiped us out on the way home.

The mere suggestion of unloading prolapses bike a mile from his house at a fking grave yard so as to not to wake his neighbours up

A 6 hour journey home that would have taken 3 with a driver who couldn't actually read signs he was that tired

My worse day on track

Cabin in the woods camping

A man's plight against hunger and low blood sugar. Stressing out to fk becoming a very snappy man.

A 30 something man with a degree who can't roll a fking fag to save him self

A cut calf from wheeling a trailer in my garage myself at midnight

There's loads more but I'm waiting till I calm down as currently I never ever want to do a fking track day ever again. It's was fking horrible. Words cannot describe just how buckled I am and I still need to shower shave and get ready for two interviews tomorrow first thing.

One things for sure. Me and Prolapse would be best not speaking for a few days

It was like a lovers tiff I was incredibly grumpy he was incredibLy..... Relaxed being driven everywhere by his chafuer
