Going to treat myself to a new pair of shoes, fancy some of the Ecco Tour Hybrids, I fancy something a bit smarter than my Ecco Biom Hybrid or my Footjoy DNA's:

They look good.

Have to say that I'm not a fan of the newer style of shoe that has emerged over recent times. To my eyes they look all out of proportion and as though folk are walking round with big suckers on their feet!

Thanks for the suggestions. We'll be going sometime between May & July! Going to do the usual 2 night 3 round break. We played at the Bell in in Brampton last year which was decent enough. Will have a look at those courses, cheers!

I wouldn't go near the Isle of Purbeck, only played it once, it is such a difficult course (links course) from memory I think I lost about 9 balls during a 5 hour round one Saturday, unless you are single figure handicappers that can play in the wind, don't bother, we also played Ferndown which is a very good course (something to do with Peter Alice) but you would have to play it on the Friday.

always wanted to play remedy oak

Isle of Purbeck is lovely - but then I'm a links course member.

I agree - can't stand any of the Nike/Adidas/Under Armour shoes, they're just trainers with spikes which, in my opinion, should not be allowed on the course.

Just finished a wonderful 18 holes with my dad up at Chiltern Forest GC in Bucks.

Wonderful weather, great company, some awesome views and 3 pars to go along with the numerous bogies.

Such a great way to spend a few hours on a sunny Friday

Biggest prize tournament of the year tomorrow, holidays to OZ, week long breaks at Championship Resorts and a new car, been looking forward to it for months but forecast looks a little breezy

Can I borrow your new shoes Rosscow?

Might need something comfy:

8 pars, 1 birdie today. The less said about the rest the better

Consistency proving elusive

If anyone is thinking about a new driver, don't get one until you've tried the M1, it's an absolute weapon.

COR has been maxed for years so I don't understand why it's so long but it's flying further than where my Vapor Pro rolls out to.

Not liked a TM driver since the R9 but this thing is the real deal.

A PB 77 for me today. +6 for 39 points playing off 9 in a club stableford. I was joint clubhouse leader when we walked in at 6pm.

Could have been better too, as I was +1 after 9, and usually play the back 9 of that course better, but I lost it a bit with my mid irons and started inexplicably push/fading them.

Still...Very happy.

That's a lovely round! Good work.

I played Saturday morning in thick fog - wish I hadn't bothered! Couldn't see more than about 100 yards.

Cheers. That G25 is doing me proud.

It's been gorgeous here the last week. If it want getting dark by 1830 you'd never know it was October. Perfect golf weather.

Must be the shaft rather than the club head?

I'm returning my Game Golf tags. The Android app has more bugs than a rotting tree, the primary one being an inability to actually upload the data from the round.

I played Sunday morning with a shocking hangover and drove better than I ever have before, my chipping was good too. Unfortunately the greens had all been hollow-tined recently which cost me a few shots and I also had a run of 5 bad holes in a row that ruined my score. Plenty of good golf in there though.

I also did something very silly today and have ordered a second hand set of Mizuno MP4 irons. Everyone says that you have to be Adam Scott to hit blades but I want to find out for my self. I got them for a very good price and can easily sell them on for what I bought them for, if not more. It was an itch I was always going to scratch so I thought I'd get it out the way.

They look incredible.

They are beautiful smile

I play of ~12 and bought blades despite that, will never play anything else!

One of the biggest myths in golf imo.

Don't be put off if you go out in the cold and one of them electrocutes you. Stick with it. The good ones more than make up for the bad ones.
