Morning Guys!
On Sunday 18th January, Santa-pod are hosting Their first 'run what ya brung' event of the year, it's normally a great day out and providing it isn't too busy, you can get lots of runs in!
£10 entry and £35 'sign-on'
I'll be heading up in the morning from the Brighton/ Haywards heath area aiming to arrive at santa-pod for 8:30.
If anyone wants to meet en-route, drop me a message or post below.
Let me know if you'll be there and I'll keep a look out for you!
Regards,

shelgz

^+1 Luckily I'm only 15 minutes away so can make my call on the day. Last time I went (about 15 months ago) it was a bit of a wash out but even then the queueing was horrendous, only got 3 runs in before the heavens opened (again). Might see you there !

Good Lads. Hopefully most of the crappy weather will be over and done with by the weekend. Fingers crossed though!

Was freezing up there today, the track took until just before 2pm to get prepped so a fair bit of hanging around.

Track seemed fairly slippy early on, but a couple of my friends ran their best times later on in the afternoon so must have warmed up/rubbered in a bit.

I only made 3 runs, my pb of the day was a 14.50 @ 101mph, not bad despite the freezing conditions, first time on track after getting my Clubman mapped (here come the excuses lol) & had trouble spinning the tyres up. Quite pleased anyway & will be back for sure when it gets warmer.

A great turn out despite the arctic weather, really diverse lot of cars there thumbup, think it was the C63 AMG that was doing some awesome smoky burnouts laughclap. Think I heard someone say a GTR ran a 9!!! That must have been rapid considering how cold it was

Thanks for the bulletin John, you must be pleased with your time, awesome Mini. Just had a quick look at your profile, do you know a lad called Chris Haird and or his late dad David from NHRA ?

Thanks Richard wink

It should have run a little quicker to be honest, but now running 275bhp the oem clutch is the weak point on these, so I was a bit too timid I think.

Unfortunately the names don't ring a bell though...

Was very cold and slippery!, think everyone was struggling for traction off the line. Best I managed was a 13.60 at 110 MPH with only 2mm left on the tyres, will be back in summer to get a decent run in.
