Dear Folks,

Just a word to say Hello UK, happy new year 2015, a long life to you (in an ultima off course).

Time to share:

Please just find the new installation of my Gear stick, i did some little modifications since last year.

But if that could help you torward the vision of a solution for a shifter, i would be glad.

You can see the precision of the centering of brake lever, and the sapce saving making the seat fixation more centered face to the wheel.

Again live strong and with passion

Very nice looking piece. Have you confirmed that it will fit between the seats? with other shifters you run out of space between the seats quickly. Lee

Hi,

The biggest dimension is the front of the base plate and the dimension is 123,5mm.

Hoping that helps

Kind regards

Hello folks,

Glad you like the areospace spirit, batman is no so far too... :-)

I did this part just for fun and having a specific part.

But it could be interesting if we could investigate the way to make a little batch. That could be a way to think as machinery time is just expensive.

Meaning for 5 or 10 unit could make sense.

Were you able to completely centralise the driver's seat to the steering using this shifter?

Please find the superposition of the OEM Shifter produced for Porsche Brombacher (in blue the OEM fixating hole) in red the rough new base plate.

MMM...

Dear folks, sorry if i created a dream, but the wheel is just more centered by a few millimeters face to the seat. In other words, you can shift the seat to the center of the car slightly.

Dear Fokls,

You can find a lot of kind shifter done by Califonia motorsport, CAE Shifter, numeric racing, or in Romania or Italia where machine guys are numerous and very very skilled.

You can find what they can do, as my friend Alberto does, we are a group of ingeneer who like jobs just well done

http://www.i1qod.it/prima.htm this is not a gear stick but a good candy eyes

I can say in machining nothing is impossible, it is just a level of difficulty ;-) but we can use 3D printing too, but who want plastic toy?

As said before the original idea is made by Numeric racing and most of the sales are supported by Porsche Brombacher. In the early beginning of the development for Porsche vehicule i proposed to numeric racing my patented design a base plate for specific Kit car including Ultima car to have at the end one unique part. That is why the upper system looks like the porche one. But it is not: specific base plate and gear stick too

This is the story but to go further, i am in touch with Dan an charles from Num rac very often. But this is not the right place here to speak about that you know where join me.

Kind regards to all and take care of you and your dream car.

J

I have this exact shifter mech on a G50/52, I have to say it feels a bit flimsy and am seriously thinking of changing back to my cable shift systems shifter.
I am sure it would be fine on a later/slicker shifting box though.
