Just in the market for a couple of nearly new Mercs for me and the better half. What's the current typical discount on list price from official Merc delearships. Looking to spend in region of £100k. Anyone had any recent experience?

Just before Xmas I was shopping on behalf of my Dad for an E350 around £28k. The new shape was what he fancied. i shopped at one of those large Mercedes owned second hand only shops and tried everything to get a discount. I reckon I might have got £500 off the £28000 asking but they would not budge. There argument is that their cars are already competitively priced etc. I said I would think about it and get back to them - thinking they would come back. They didn't. I went back and the car was gone!!!

Mercedes Retail Used? I did the same before Xmas and bought a 2014 facelift E-Class estate.

Their cars vary in price from branch to branch however like most if it's been in stock for a while they'll often take a huge amount off to get rid. I paid full windscreen price but I knew the car had been previously up for £2500 more and it was the cheapest in the country, I drove 250 miles for it!

The key is to know what you want, look frequently, and be prepared to act quickly when you find it!

In terms of new cars I've just had an email from drive the deal offering 18.5% off a C220 cdi AMG-line saloon which seems attractive if you're in the market for one.
