There's a tuning forum on Forzamotorsport.net - either people touting their tunes or offering up ideas.
Found the tuners a bit hit and miss but the ones you can copy from the forum and amend are ok as you can fine tune them - by which I mean randomly change different things on the off chance it does something you want...

Also look at what tunes the leaders are running,& track them down
Also Andy, aka Great Cornholio, aka EVIL HOMER 40 on Xbox, does some very good tunes.Stumpyalan (here & on XB) did good ones in FM4 but I dont know if he has any on 6. Apologies to other PH tuners, whose names I cant recall

... Oddly of the two drivatars that always win one is a friend who is really good at racing games but doesn't own 6, the other a random whose tag I don't recognise. It does seem as if the game is setting 2 cars at a higher difficulty than the rest of the pack.
Makes their "Drivatar technology" a farce then. Rather than using your mates online characteristics in your offline matches we're just going to scour your friends list.I did buy the game in the end (and if anyone wants to play, my GT is 'altrezia') - and have the same issue. I've managed to win 2 races so far, but fk me it's hard work! something like 10 seconds in front of the rest of the pack normally. Odd.
Apart from that, it's a cracker. I know it's no sim, but every now and then you get a 'ooh, that was just right' moment.

Would anyone be up for a few touring car and GT races?
Count me in ! I remember battling it out with all the usual guys in this post in FM4 and FM5. There was a good BTTC style series with very fast Honda Civics vs Kia CEED's etc. On FM4 there was a BTTC series which allowed 'any' car, as long as you could prove it raced in the actual BTCC or ETTC at any point in time.
I still have a pic on PC, so here you go ....

For the Touring Cars, I suggest the cars can be modified but must remain 'S' class and a Touring Car, BMW 125, Honda Civic, Audi S3 Saloon, Toyota Avensis, Volvo Polestar S60, Mercedes A-Class.
GT's: Any GT car, tuning allowed but must be 'R' class.
Open to any other suggestions.

I have the beginnings of a car setup and rules for a touring car championship, but after buying a load of cars and upgrading them, the PI and power limits aren't quite there. So I'll put what I've got as an idea for the PH massive to fine tune:
Having the FM5 BTCC as a starting point http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Race aero
Race suspension
Race transmission geared to 160 top speed
Race tyres
245 max tyre width
2600 minimum weight
18" or 19" wheels and touring car/racing paint job for the looks
This is where it gets fuzzy
Max power somewhere around 300-360bhp
PI somewhere around A600-650
There's no way to tell engine capacity in FM6, the Displacement upgrade doesn't tell you the displacement , so no rules on engine swaps, engine size, cylinders, induction, just have the power limit. Does it need a torque limit?
To broaden the possibilities as much as possible, no rules on bodystyles other than they are front engined: saloon, hatchback, coupe, estate, car sizes from Focus class upto Volvo 850, all good.
FWD, RWD, AWD. Discuss . No rules on drive would broaden the range of cars. FWD or AWD with drivetrains swaps allowed?
Cars with the least engine upgrades to fit this would be something like a M235i, at the other end, something like the '94 Prelude could be pumped up enough with engine/turbo conversions. Mercedes A45, newer BMW M and Audi S and RS go above the limits when they're tuned.
It's an idea to start things off, I've tried to keep it open to as many cars as possible, so there's less chance of everybody picking the same car, like the FM5 series being a Civic fest
The BTCC / WTCC / STCC cars in the game are all S class around the PI 730 area, above what this would be, this would be a build your own thing.
Is this better here or as its own thread to get things rolling?

This looks good, Maybe start a new thread to discuss though. Then nail the details down and go from thereHaving the FM5 BTCC as a starting point http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
