Hello guy's well I've just turned 26 i'm from the UK have an okay job part time (family run company) and in the market for a new car,

What i'm driving right now is an e46 325i I've also owned a Mk4 Golf R32. So I have saved up 8500£ for a new car and another £1000 for car insurance + another £2000 in extra in case i have to add towards my car budget or I will save for future services etc,

So what I've been looking at is porsche boxster s 2003-2004 or bmw m3 e46 2001-2004, Are these car's a realistic target or would I benefit from saving maybe for another 6-8 months ?

I've been quoted £750 from privilege car insurance on an bmw m3 e46 on 53 plate or 950£ for a boxter s 2004 both 5000 miles per year (This would be a weekend car, I've been driving for 8 years and have 7 years NCB and never had any points my dad would be the policy holder with his 30 years NCB to reduce my quote from £1400 a year and i would be a named driver.

Is there any other cars out there I should be looking at MPG-Servicing doesn't really matter I'm in the market for something that's Quick but still has some class,

Anyone got any thoughts on the E46 m3 vs Boxter S ?

Thanks for reading have a good day,

Luke.

If you're a named driver on someone else's policy and it turns out that you're the main driver of the vehicle.... well that's not going to end well.

I have my own Insurance for my Bmw right now and have since i was 18 years old i won't be changing anything with that policy, I've also told privilege that I have another policy as a named driver and they told me it doesn't affect or have anything to do with a new policy.

Also i will sgin the car over to my fathers name on the LOG book and he will be the policy holder and i will be added onto the car for extra £££

As far as I know theirs nothing wrong with this ? I know my friend did this on an audi S3 and has had no problems so far.

Think you could get a Zonda replica in budget?

VX220 for a proper weekend car.

Don't 'front' your insurance though. I'm 26, less NCD than you, my insurance was £400 with stage 1 mods declared.
