That's not Council.

The lorry implies employment. The garage is on the premises, not a lock-up down the road. There is no mattress or other furniture adorning the garden.

But there are levels of council. Council, council with bar and council with oak leaves.

He's obviously parked it there to wash it. If that is council, I'm not sure?
Washing it there to stop the water accumulating in the 4 long divots on the brick drive left by the lorry wheels.

Perhaps I'm council but as a kid always loved it when Dad bought the lorry unit home & parked it on the drive.

Referring to the national flag as Union Jack when not on a warship is quite council. wink
"It has been claimed that "Union Jack" was the name given to the flag flown on the "jack staff" of ships of the Royal Navy. However, the flag existed long before ships had jack-staffs, so it is more likely that the jack-staff is named after the flag."

An old school friend (40 year oldish grandmother, very ugly) gave her daughter money to get a tattoo. So her daughter had MUM tattooed on her wrist.

Brought a tear to me eye.

If nothing else, council people are very loyal to friends and family and love them whole heartedly. But seem to hate anyone else. May explain why they have love and hate tattooed on their fingers. but never like.

But as has been pointed-out here repeatedly from those that work with them, have no hesitation in stealing from their neighbours.

"Like" is a more subtle emotion which requires thought and consideration...

The green fencing concerns me but that looks an OKish road.

Bringing a commercial vehicle home like this is council. Your choice of employment should not impact on your neighbourhood. There are a few exceptions I guess. A small van used for your own business is fine - high end wine merchant, antiques dealer, artisan baker, bespoke cricket bat maker, etc - but big stuff and stuff clearly not owned by the driver is naff. Parking on double yellows in your moody old Jag just tops things off.

Are old XFs now council? I rather like them.
How do you know it is clearly not owned by the driver?

So if he's keen to make a bigger statement each year, how can he possibly surpass that shirt?

I think he was speaking generally.

We have them too in nearby streets. I mean tiny streets with no off-road parking, chaps bring home their massive Western Power / Sky / Virgin / Local Council Housing Group vans and pretty much block the road for any cars bigger than a hatchback, and block all daylight from the unlucky sod's house they park in front of for a whole weekend.

Why on earth do people hang up football shirts at the scene of a death?
Because the brightly coloured nylon football shirt is the only Item of clothing that is needed, suitable for all occasions and all through the year.

I don't but I enjoy making sweeping generalisations and assumptions founded on my prejudices and hang-ups. It's a very council trait I admit.

That shrine shown was for someone who died spraying graffiti on a railway bridge, genuinely.

It's compound council.

I'd trust the official Monarchy website over some charity.

Being on a popular free dating website and putting down your job title as, 'Glamour model.'

When in reality you run Skype and soft-core website along with 3 kids and a just giving charity page for a new laptop.

As well as being grossly overweight but relying on your 'world' famous assets to make money, but you are 'more than just that'. yeh right.

I would still give it a go thou.. nuts
