QV tyres

Post this on F-chat, but expanding the post to another forum.

Hi all, I'll soon look to replace the hoops on the car. I have no choice as to the rear tyre but there are plenty of other brands which I could use for the front tyre rather than Pirelli.

Apart from keeping the same brand on all four corners. Does anyone run a mixed combination?

My reasoning at this time, is that other brands, may have a more modern design / construction. I have spoken with another owner who runs non Pirelli front and reckons the front end feel has improved.

I run Dunlops on the front of mine, but they were on from day one. I have a set of spare P zero new front tyres and one rear one. I have driven a few other CT's and am not sure the tyre difference is too great as all the cars feel a bit different. I don't see an issue with mixing as long as they have the right speed and weight rating. The choice on that basis is a bit more limited than you think.

Yes, been shopping around, choice is limited as you state.

I'm itching to get out for a drive!

Hello boys, over the years I have had a couple of different makes and have to confess I didn't notice much difference! The only thing I would say is that it always annoyed me when it didn't have pirellis on it as it just didn't look quite right!
