Any Jeep Commander owners on here?

I'm looking at possibly up grading my 2004 Grand Cherokee & was initially thinking about going 2007 / 2008 Grand Cherokee (Overland) again. However, I have been looking at the Commander recently & have noticed that they all seem to have 2009 / 2010 Grand Cherokee interior spec & in general seem to have less miles on the clock than the Grands. Finally, year vs year, Grand vs Commander, the Commander's appear to be on average around £1000 cheaper. Apart from the Commanders marmite looks, whats the catch?

TBH I was never much of a fan of the styling, the Grand is a much better looking 4x4 in my opinion. It's just for the money the Commander seems like great value vs the Grand & is actually slightly better spec'ed. I'm just asking the question, I think it's more head ruling heart when thinking about the Commander vs Grand.

I am just interested to know what other people (especially owners) think of them......

We had considered one too. The advantage over the Grand Cherokee IMO is the 6th &7th seats and I think it has more usable boot space too.

Sw one the other day which had a 2" lift kit that looked pretty neat, took away that 'squashed' look which always put me off it.

In the end we bought a KK cherokee, just happened to be at the dealer we visited and ticked all the boxes for us!
