Agree with the post above. If you want to go on and on about making a profit on cars etc, then post how much you're buying them for at the time. Not just going on about vague profits months down the line.

As someone who buys cars that I can't particularly afford at times or can't really justify, I'd be genuinely interested in it if you were posting real numbers. Not just vague "look at me I'm great" posts

Sorry but he's an annoying, bragging, money obsessed bore that needs to get out and drive his cars instead of worrying about their future value and spending every minute of the day posting the same nonsense on every car forum he can find.

I'm convinced his car choices are purely based on whatever forum he hasn't joined yet.
For crying out loud, even if he were a money obsessed bore, its not like there aren't 100's of others just the same out there and if we are all honest, we all share a bit of the same. How else do you explain 25 year old F40's / countach's with sub 10k miles on the clock or 10 year old Stradales with the same??? We are all too bloody obsessed with demanding stupidly low mileage cars for their age and there are far to many of us prepared to pay through the roof for them. We all know that deep down it is ridiculous as they are beautiful pieces of engineering genius designed to be driven and enjoyed yet we all lock the damn things away and are petrified of clocking up the miles.... Why?... Because of impacting the future values.... At least he is not a hypocrit and says what we all secretly want and that is apparently for our cars to go up in value more than the pleasure we'd gain from driving those miles we daren't.... We are all as guilty as each other on this point. If it weren't completely taboo to re-trim a worn drivers seat and respray a peppered front end we could all get out there and do some more bloody enjoyable miles without fear of some PH know it all then putting the fear of god into people because that same car comes up in the classifieds with 30k miles on the clock and some paint on the front end. GRBF430F1's views about value may or may not be correct and may or may not be a bore, but they are the product of these forums where everyone is secretly petrified of damaging the value of their highly collectable 'future classic'. Can't blame him alone, we are all as guilty as each other, he just voices it openly.

Btw GRBF430F1, no idea who you are in real life but I don't think you deserve having a thread like this targeting you specifically and I second your request for it to stop. End of my contribution to this one...

I think you'll find that a lot of people who regularly post on here do agree with some of what GRBF has to say! The problem is his need to crash into every thread telling us all what his latest and greatest purchase is.
While I defend the right for everyone to have an opinion you don't need it shoving down your throat all the time.

If we had an "Ignore" button we wouldn't need the topic in the first place.

Couldn't agree more. I've asked for it to be closed. I don't need all the personal abuse, I get enough of that at home from the missus

Ridiculous thread, he's a car nut like many of us, he may show it in a different way but as far as I'm concerned he's a genuine pistonheader who puts his money where his mouth is...

Thread should be removed...

I love the fact hs specified his 650 with the famous 'penis' wheels. Bit of self-deprecating humour maybe?

I will never be able to look at these wheels in the same way again!
