After deliberation for weeks on whether the expense of the glass switches is worth the benefit, I decided to treat myself following a good weeks work.

Approached HWM and asked for the price for the switches, reminded 3 times. A week has gone by and no response.

I decided to take my business elsewhere, Nicholas Mee in fact and rang them. They asked me to tell them what I needed in an email......you guessed it, never heard from them again.

They must be making too much money elsewhere to not bother with a £500 ish order!

Probably stay with the plastic ones now, I have lost interest.

sounds like rotten customer service, which unfortunately seems to be the norm in a lot of sectors these days.

take the time to find a dealer that treats you well and you won't go wrong.

i still use my local vauxhall dealer for all my part orders even if it takes a bit longer to get my genuine ford parts through them because the customer service is fantastic they actually give damn about making sure i get a decent service and there always willing to help. regardless if its not something they deal with normally( Arnold Clark group just to amaze people even further)

BR are now doing glass switches (including the missing ones from aml parts list). My car goes in today for the others to be fitted. Maybe give them a call for a quote?

I saw those BR switches but at their quoted price of $95.00 for standard AM ones that retail at £20 - £30 each, they can keep them.

I liked the special heated window ones too but $295.00 each is way too strong.

I have now heard from Nicholas Mee and HWM through this forum thread, so hope to recharge my interest and get them done.

Hi Paul,

Yes. They do a 'V8' and 'V12' one with the tyre marks just to add a bit of variety.

I thought Aston were asking closer to £100 for each glass button.

Nope, take a look at this quote......

Park switch £26.27, Drive £22.75, Reverse £31.36 and Neutral £23.95.

Total £137.19 RETAIL incl VAT and shipping for the set, less any disco you can negotiate.

Are you asking the dealer to fit them, if so who did you go with and how much?

Strange.

Why not just contact them and get their £ price? You are aware that BR are based in Warwickshire, right? wink
