you'd need a lot of masking tape to recreate it!

370 on a map.

I dare say after only 12 miles that it probably does need it. But will reserve judgement until I have some proper miles under my belt.
I'll be interested to hear your thoughts with a few more miles under the belt.

Out of interest, did you try the new Cooper S as an alternative?

I'm in a complete quandry as to what to do, car-wise. Current thoughts range from e46 or e92 M3, via Golf GTI or R to new Cooper S, to S3 (or even RS3), to C63 or RS4. I want something with 4 seats that handles ok, does the job for work purposes and has that hard-to-define sense of occasion.

That's lovely.

But a big part of me wants something low-stress from a maintenance perspective. I'm feeling much the same as (the other) Olly and Joel - fixed cost motoring (or at least low risk motoring) would be nice.

Moon on a stick, etc etc.

Just to be absolutely clear...

"that's lovely" was in relation to Moosey's e500 not Woody's Bristols (fnarr)

Great to see one in it's natural habitat, rather than outside a wine bar. Like seeing a tiger on the Masai Mara, rather than Chester Zoo.

You'll never see a Tiger in the Mara, or in the wild in Africa. Lions, Leopards and Cheetahs, yes. But Tigers, no.

Well done braddo - I can't imagine there's much better than that car down that bit of track.

Donington is my fave track, and the Craner Curves/Old Hairpin my favourite section. I've had some good dices down there against GT3s (in a Caterham R300/R400), but not yet driven a GT3 there.

Did you get through much in the way of brakes or tyres?

Cracking track, that. Remember the first time I managed to keep my foot flat through the curves in my M3. Took a bit of working up to!
