Hi I'm new to this and was wondering if some one could help me with my car problem, my cambelt shed a few teeth so had to stripe my engine down at friends garage, cleaning all engine down and cleaned of old gaskit and sanded with flat bloke as their seemed to be no damage to head and values, even that the valves did mark top of pistons,so I've done a cam kit and had new throttle body and actuator, new glow plugs , both belts and pulleys, new bearings on alternator, I re,ground all the valves so where bedded In,since this I rebuilt it back to get her and have loads of smoke on starting and it give me a code p0301 misfire cyclinder 1 and it misses bad, I've just bought new wiring loom for in rocker cover but it only made it start Easyer, please could some one help me

Do you think I should get injectors checked as I have been told it could be injector or 2 and it's throwing up cylinder one as it's compensating for injector 1

When the injectors are removed, all the fuel is lost in the feed pipe in the head, it take ages to build up again.

Have you checked the fuel pressure from the tandem pump.

If not, or you dont have the correct gauge try a hose clamp on the fuel return line (the one with the fuel temp sensor in it) near the filter, see if this has an effect.

I have tryed the clamp on my return fuel pipe and it seemed to run slightly better, so done the clamp again and the engine stopped, I had to use quick start to start it again as it would not start by it's self, is their any thing else I could try that you no off thanks darren
