I preferred watching the clip of newly joined the students, at least you can understand someone just starting out, fresh and untainted by reality.
Hence why students are too stupid to vote.

That was funny, not a single question answered, not spending with an identified source of funding.

The problem is how many of those that would consider voting green watch the daily politics show?

That's the worrying thing gruffalo people think it will be a safe vote, bit like voting lib dem all them years ago. It might accidentally give the greens a few seats in the house.

The thing with Brillo, always, is that he is better briefed than his interviewee. And nearly always much sharper too.

I've had the pleasure of a couple of Twitter discussions with him about climate change, he's mustard and I was glad he was on my side! smile

ETA AN hilariously calls wind turbines "windmills". rofl

Fascinating how she intends to find the £280 billion to give us a11 £71 a week.

'We'll save money by abolishing the job seekers allowance'
'But that only costs £3 billion'
'Well it costs a lot to administer'.
Isn't the point that it replaces the whole welfare and pensions system rather than just jobseekers? That leaves them 'only' 25 billion or so to find.

She didn't say that. She did refer to a 'wealth tax' on assets over £3 million that would apparently raise £30-45 billion, when it was pointed out that a similar French tax on assets over £800,000 raised a tenth of that "but that's a different country with a different system'.

she said that, but an awful lot of welfare claimants receive more than £71/wk. You have to factor in all of the many welfare elements.

Are they saying that a pensioner currently on £113 weekly and in future around £148, some with other benefits on top, drops to £71 i.e less than half? With up to 2% annual asset tax on top?

when I listened to the interview thats what I heard BUT this is from the Spectator, rather different!
Top-ups [will be] given for people with children or disabilities, or to pay rent and mortgages. No-one will see a reduction in benefits, and most will see a substantial increase. Parents will be entitled to two years’ paid leave from work.

So hairykrishna's fag packet sums need a rewrite, like the Green Party manifesto.

After reading the manifesto and listening to that interview, only cluelessly naive students / dumb crusties / space cadet ultraleftists would consider the Green Party to be anything other than a laughing stock repository for the lost souls of mourning moaning marxists.

She actually said the 'manifesto' was a collective, so you can picture how it went.

I think I see her well disguised cunning here.

She's going to reverse the electricity through the windmills and blow away any invaders from the sea or air.

Bloody brilliant, it must be the Aussie in her.

Whoever that Aussie is, he must have mistaken her for a sheep

Telegraph article quotes 240 to 280 billion. It's not clear how that's calculated.

Welfare plus pensions is already ~255 billion. Isn't that an average of £76.50 a week each?

But will that mean a reduction in pension and welfare payments to £76.
