Hello all,
I have an mgb gtv8 and I have been struggling with oil surge. I am not too mechanically minded but reading on internet it appears the cause is not having a (properly) baffled sump.

I took the sump off and I think the sump I have is a P6 sump (pic) below, however most of the adapted/baffled sumps seem to be range rover or sd1 sumps. Will these fit (if I am right) in place of the p6 sump or do I need to get my sump properly baffled? It looks liked someone has had a go in the past but perhaps needs more?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts/answers.

You're absolutely right, you need to buy a proper SD1/TVR sump. Or, go have a chat with Peter Mulberry of Mulfab. He produces excellent baffled sumps and windage trays sumps that work properly, are well proven and are not too expensive...
